If you can't personally donate equipment or CDs to the DJ/Camp/Bar gifting mission (see post below), then direct people to my website for information. A pop-up will explain the plan.
Copy cut and paste the text on forums, in emails, AOL message boards, chat rooms, wherever. Or just type http://www.micrage.com and let the pop-up explain.
How many people have DJ or PA stuff around that they are just never gonna use? Do some good with it and get entertained in return.
Send music CDs also...we will distribute them. All the info is at the website!
Shit, I even bought a basic mixer on Ebay just to help out. You can do the same. Speaker cables, Mics, whatever. Headquarters for the effort will be "Old One Eye" camp, look us up...bring working equipment you can spare.
And to make you feel good about it...here is your reward:

ATTENTION ALL!
Burning Man is the quintesential gathering of DJs and electornic music enthusiasts. 30,000+ people annually can't be wrong!
(See www.burningman.com for info.)
We are on a mission to help those Burning Man camps that may not know how to put together the sound system they need in order to have DJs perform.
uh...although I love the dance camps and DJ's that are sick and twisted, Burningman is not the quintesential gathering of DJs and electronic music. You can walk out on the playa in the middle of the the night and pretty much find any kind of music you would like to listen to. Some folks out there (I'm sure you know) dislike loud "rave" camps.
Good luck on getting the equipment you need and also for other camps so you can help set their systems up but the request coming so late in the game and a lot of people are taking off for the playa you may not get as much as you could have if you would have started earlier.
I hope to find your set up this year and dance till my legs cramp, and have to be carried away by playa pixies.

I am a bit tied up at the moment...but if you leave your name and number.....
We don't discriminate
Hey, it need not be dance music, DJs still need gear to spin on!
People are welcome to bring equipment by the camp. We will do what we can. If we fail, we fail...but this drive has been going for weeks, you just haven't seen the posts.
I put together a cool portable rig with a mixer, computer speaker/subwoofer system and 2 personal players. It is moderately loud but certainly not earth shaking.

Sorry if I came off the wrong way, music is some people's art and a very important part of BRC. And to be a DJ, especially a DJ who rocks serious ass, is something to be respected. Lord knows I don't have the patience or skill for it.
Do you have any idea on how much equipment/CD requests to expect yet? I have seen you posting on a couple of diffrent threads for requests for DJ's. Any confirmations on what/where/when??
I see a lot of requests for D&B and Trance and House, doesn't anybody like J-Pop anymore (if ever)? That's it....I am gonna invest all my time/effort into pulling off a J-Pop camp next year, even if I am the only one dancing.

Japanese Pop Music
examples
Takako Minekawa
Puffy AmiYumi
Kahime Kari
Pizzicato 5
Cornelius
just bubblegummy - happy - sometimes quirky - borrowing a lot from 60's French style.
Someone else can jump in if I am explaining this wrong.
