hi Sensei, I didn't know you cared!

I'm over on tribe now, you can find me at
http://angrylibrarians.tribe.net/

I mention the eplaya occasionally when burners on tribe
are looking for resources that they can't find on tribe.

I came over here today myself to look for sober camps,
because I'm going to at least try to do without the booze
this year on playa. I didn't drink out there my first two years,
but last year got the better of me : )

But for god's sake if you see me with a beer in my hand
DO NOT TRY TO INTERFERE!!! heehee

later

While others spent their time getting drunk and dancing in the streets, Sensei wisely spent his time looking for the perfect little plaid Catholic schoolgirl skirt (with white shirt and skinny black leather tie). Thank you, Red Light. AND, Sensei now has a disposable cam for a certain e-playan who has agreed to take said cam to the meet & flog, in order to take pics of the usual suspects for yet another e-playan. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

On a completely unrelated note:

I've only called in sick twice this year. Twice. Are you guys thinking what Sensei is thinking?

I've got a weakness for cranky women, what can I say. Welcome back and try not to stay away for so long. Hope to see you this year; don't worry, I have my ways of finding the guilty... mwaa haa haa haa!

Truth be told, my il-arabi is ana magnuna! Visited Morocco once about five years ago. A friend who just completed an arabic intensve at Middlebury helped me out.

However, to answer your questions....I'll get back to you later. Hee Hee.

my arabic - shit, too, it's no problem.
all i said was:
hamdilallah! kwayyes iktiir.
thanks be to god! very good
bucket, inte sakin fi New York, bas min wen inte?
bucket, you live in New York, but where are you from?
Leysh tehki il-9arabi?
Why do you speak Arabic?

anyway, this is all Levantine - and street arabic, no less, culled partly from books and partly from conversations out and about. In Morocco it's different, a bit.....

Morocco is beautiful, though. Where were you in Morocco?

I drove from Casablanca south to Agadir (a shithole,) then inland via Taroudannt and Ouarzazate and over the Haut Atlas mountains to Marrakech, where I stayed for a week near the d'jema al fina. In some ways, Morocco is the closest thing to Burning Man outside of BRC. Similar landscape to parts of Nevada, too.

Casablanca was the worst. I liked the mountain villages the best. Too bad i can't remember their names anymore.......
Rabat was nice, too. In Fez my friend (our guide) contemplated selling me for some camels.....

It was so lush the year i was there.... just after their first good rain in many years.... rolling green hills.... of course that was farther north even than marrakesh....

I am so going to ditch your little butt at the first rest stop. Hope you like Eagleville, CA. Think of it this way; you'll probably still be lookin' for a ride out of there by the time BM '05 rolls around. I might even pick you up on the way back to Black Rock. How convenient is that? Try to see if you can get a job slingin' hash at the diner, so you'll have some gas money. Boy, am I a softie.

Btw, if anyone has some info about Sensei that I'm lacking (like, oh, he's the Green River Killer's protege) please tell me now.

Or forward a message to Host Head.

Hey Isotopia, I hope your tired ass is packed and ready. I'm leaving for the playa in the morning with or without you. BTW, I don't have space for that second suitcase of makeup you old cow.

LOL!

C'mon, Badger! That's what the roof rack is for...

I know you know this but... drive safe and watch for the damn free range cattle. That goes for the rest of you guys, too.

And for god's sake, don't let Iso drive. You remember the last time that happened...

Yep. 135 mph and her wig got sucked out through the sunroof. The old queen whined like a lost puppy for the next 200 miles.

As if that amateur could teacher her anything! Just ask yourself one question- has anyone ever caught Rian; have they been able to convict her of anything? You don't hear about the really good ones.

But don't worry. If you just treat her with respect and courtesy, she probably won't eat you. Wait, she's a vegetarian... wrong villian... maybe you should worry, after all. What was that comment about chianti she made a while back?
