so.. after a THRILLING knock out qualifying session ...the person who tied nigel mansells record for pole positions in a year.. the guy who won the 2010 and 2011 Formula 1 world championship ..

Image

..blows a tire on the first corner.. and breaks the suspension on it while driving it 3 miles back to the pits.. out of the race

dangit man, that sucked.. the race became totally boring as a result.. this year he has won nearly every race so it was exciting to see if someone might actually beat him...

luser ass lewis hamilton won ... man i hate that guy.

only one race left and then the world is gonna suck for a while..

no formula 1..
no cubs...

*sigh*

maybe eplaya will be more pleased in 2012 when Formula 1 returns to america at a purpose built track in austin texas 2012!!

and in 2013 when america has another Formula 1 race added to the schedule.. in New Jersey overlooking the New York City skyline.. that is gonna be badass!

i tells ya..

youre gonna like formula 1 whether you like it or not..

its the best sport in the world!

I admire the skill, but honestly to me I couldn't imagine a more boring sport to watch. Go karts making mosquito noises going around a track while some guy with a bad British accent gets way too excited for his own good. At least with NASCAR you can choose to scream either FORD! or CHEVY! at the screen.

..I mean.. have you SEEN the Russian, Norwegian or Canadian women's curling team? Now THAT'S entertainment..

Not sure that it's more boring than watching golf or baseball though. At least with car racing, there's always a chance someone will crash.

If they actually want to race in Austin in 2012 they'd better get moving on the track. Construction seems to be going along at sub-snail pace. Bets are being taken on completion dates.

tracks are regularly completed just before the actual race..

its a huge multibillion $ sport lotsa wrangling and political crap but peple/nations will clamor to get a race.. its a prestige event.. abu dhabi spent $1.3 billion on their formula 1 track..

300mil+ for this one in austin

big moneys!!!

Jobs!
I love Nascar, but totally record and zoom through races instead of watching live on TV. Now, if I get to actually GO to a race I become the world's biggest redneck, accent gets thicker, gimme caps abound :D
I imagine i'd love a F1 race live too.

hopefully the smog in Austin wont be 1/4 of what it was at that Buddh International Circuit race in india where that pic is from...

it was horrible, totally cloudless days and it was hard to see down the whole front straight..

but they spent 400mil+ on the track and it was done just on time for the race.. brand new..

This could be a Theme Camp - MV project. Oval track racing just inside the Esplanade or drag racing from Swish Embassy to The Man.

There are only two sports that could possibly have a Sebastian and a Nigel at top rank -- automobile racing, and competitive Scrabble.
