The Lottery, what will it mean for the proscrastinators?

The lottery might have the biggest effect on those who put off ordering tickets. It might be a good idea for you procrastinators to start the procrastination process now and get it out of the way so that you may be able to purchase a ticket at a reasonable price.

Or perhaps the lottery might be of assistance to the procrastinators, and they can revel in their procrastinationary glory until the bitter end and still get their tickets without what they might have otherwise perceived to be undue unfairness to them.

Won't the procrastinators just complain about how they meant to register for the ticket lottery and didn't realize what the registration dates were??

I hope this new change does not punish those who have their act together...

Second Doc's opinion.

I am of the opinion that we'll have 50,000 plus ticket sales on the first day, if we drop the lottery. Heck, last year we sold half of the tickets on the first day, despite the tech problems. Thus, a lottery is needed anyway. The old adage of "He who prepares, Burns" means nothing when everyone is already scared from last year that they will be ticketless this year.

I am boggled by any that think that either:
[*]We would have enough procrastinators this year that the event won't sell out in 2-3 days.
[*]That people that got burned last year by not getting a ticket or having camp mates that failed to get tickets aren't already planning for the January purchase.
