Hi all,

I just submitted the registration form!!! Now hope for the best.
Received the confimation email as well:

DEAR SEBASTIAAN,
Thank you, your entry for the Burning Man 2012 Ticket Pre-Sale was received!

The questions were confusing. E.g. first timers (like me) can not select "0" for previous purchased tickets. When I just did not gave an entry for this question, an error popped up.

At the top of the ticket page there is a link to the form. Firts a survey has to be filled in

"Previously purchased none" is the answer for "zero". It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Congrats! As for the questionnaire, I think you missed an option. The last item on that list wasn't a number, but reads "previously purchased none." Good luck with the drawing!

It doesn't say "0". It's just "previously purchased none". (Same thing.)

Is tax included? 4 tickets to Canada = [(420)x(6)]+1+29 = 1,734.00$. Is that what will be charged to my cc?

Your figures were wacky! Your total as written should have been $2550, not $1734.00. I've corrected for 4 tickets, and put the dollar sign on the US side. You'll have to do the conversion to Canadian on the day it's charged (roughly 1770.37$ today)

I'm almost betting the servers are backing up again.. I would give it a little bit and/or check your spam inbox to see if it got filtered.

Servers backing up on just the xmas pre-sale? Noooooooo.. I mean, we all know what a great and capable ticketing system we have after all these years and millions of dollars pumped through them, right?

@remi & @Eric - I think the formula's off slightly but the number was right. 4x$420.00 ticket cost, 4x$6.00 per ticket charge, 1x$1.00 per order charge, 1x$29.00 shipping = $1734.00, then you convert the currency (you'd need to pad to account for market fluctuations, as currency rates would be converted on the day the charge occurred).

@Dr. Helix - you should receive email confirmation at the address specified within 5-10 minutes of getting the 'successful' screen on your browser. If not, check your email spam filter. If it's still not there, PM me and I'll see if I can help.

@junglesmacks - not likely a server issue, as our little pre-sale registration represents a tiny drop in the bucket of capacity.

I wouldn't think that's necessarily so.

When I bought mine in the pre-Christmas sale last year I didn't get my confirmation for several hours.

...which prompted me to come in here and admit what I'd done, wondering if I'd just been scammed -- since I'd never heard of pre-Christmas tickets before and had just jumped in and paid without inquiring first.

Everything was just fine.

Maybe it was the cross-boarder Credit Card check that takes longer. Who knows.

You're right- I forgot the per ticket charge and just worked from the formula. I think this would be the correct formula if someone else is trying to figure it out: (4x420)+(4x6)+1+29 = $1,734.00 or ([number of tickets]x[highest ticket tier entered])+([number of tickets]x6)+1+[shipping fee]= [x]

God I love math.

Perhaps because you didn't have to pay 29$ for shipping to canada.

Is there a way to figure out how many people have registered? Will that number be posted? Can someone tell us how many have registered as of right now?
