OWS and WWOOFing
You hippies must spend a lot of time occupying, right?
How many of you have WWOOF'd? I'm curious to hear about your adventures.
Thanks,
m

Most of us prefer not to be called "hippies", if you please.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Re: OWS and WWOOFing
My friend did some WOOFing, she really enjoyed it most of the time. We crossed paths while she was in Hawaii, she was learning a great deal. Now and then she hit a place where she wasn't comfy with everyone, but that was rare.
Personally, I'd hate it. Even when I was an 18 year old hippie in the 70s, I wouldn't have liked the semi-religious overtones of new age spirituality some of the farms adhere to. It was a little overbearing at the one place I visited briefly while picking our friend. I'm betting more of them are like that than not. Fine, if it is your thing. Way creepy if it is not. Everyone was pleasant and nice, beautiful bountiful farm, but I got the weirdest feeling I was in the wrong place.
