I`m bringing a lot of psyambient/downtempo cds with me, but I`m still not shure where our crew will be camping (there will be a soundsystem set up for sure:)

Anyway I`ll be crusing around to find a free slot and share the chill :)

GREAT music LINK, Thanks!!!!!!

Post by Trishya333 » Wed Aug 25, 2004 9:32 am

wow, I listened to that exclusive 2 times in a row last night. I would be in heaven (s Vault?) if I found that playing somewhere with couches all around. Does any one, or the auther know how you figure out where and what kind of music is played? is there a dance zone, a chill zone, etc? Or do you wander where your ears take you?
I'm going to bring tons of cds for trade and play, both groove (what I call the above link type of downtempo, due to it's incorporation of soul) and alot of deep house. I'm scared that I will be surrounded by techno and drum and base with NO options, AHHHHH!
I'm also going to bring some cool videos of great DJ sets (both up and down tempo with computer sceensavers to hopefully play somewhere.
I'm a newbie to be too!
LOVE that LINK!!! Thanks again!

Don't worry about only one or two kinds of music on the playa...
one of my favorite memories was my first year, walking out of my camp and hearing 8 or 9 diffrent kinds of music coming from all directions. I didn't know which way to go.

You may have to listen harder for the more chill music, but you will find it.
I am a bit tied up at the moment...but if you leave your name and number.....

I'll be spinning a set of downtempo and chill beats at dawn @ Sanctuary, 4:00 and Esplanade. I'll also be spinning some other sets of funky non-trance tunes during the week.
thursday night- midnight - 2:30 Ninjatunes and related downtempo/funky grooves @ Sol System 10:00 and Esplanade
Friday night - midnight - 2 - solo set of my own beats and some live archived catfive material 9:30 and esplanade
looking forward to some funkiness!!!

Ill be spinning dub/downtempo/chill at the Hookahdome (3:50 & Esplenade) on Wed afternoon/evening, building into the big firespin jam where the beats will build up to a crescendo between 10pm - 11:30pm.

Ill also be at the Winking Lotus (Orion's Belt & Esplenade) on Thurs afternoon spinning more chill.

& heck, if yer wandrin around Friday night, too spun or floopy to walk any longer, come relax your trippin bones inside the Hookahdome again, Ill be there from Midnight till ? spinning mindwarping ethnoambient strangeness.
