On eplaya - the land of wise, witty, and whammies - I still haven't come across a single "Calvin and Hobbes" reference.

Fun idea! But take a look at the pixel width of the strip. On my screen the fourth frame gets cut off in the middle. I'm using 1024 x 768 resolution.

I love Calvin and Hobbs and have to say it's one of the best cartoons of my life.
But, I'm guessing here, perhaps C&H (oh crap, got that jingle in my head now...) simply are too pure to bastardize and those who like it best like it for its celebration of the individual creation, not cut, photoshop, paste that so much of our popular culture lends itself to so cheaply.
But comic strips aren't big out there. Doonesbury? Dilbert? Far Side? Peanuts? Ziggy? Family Circus? Wee Pals?
Anyway, I'm sticking by my first answer--we are all Calvin on the playa.

Oh no no no!! I don't want any one to photoshop, morph, or bastardize Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin and Hobbes is my life bible, religion and everything around it.
I was just going to use strips to make a point... as Bill Watterson would say it. That's all.

Now how do I delete this thread before someone gets the idea to photoshop C&H? Pronto!

after blowing the dust off of an aging copy of My Dinner With Andre the other day i was suprised to find that there was only one mention of it here that i could fine on eplaya... and it was crypto who mentioned it

there have been several calvin and hobbes references (not by me) on here in the past.
I am very slowly rereading old C&H on the web page which appears to have every strip every done.
i do agree with fishy we are all calvin on the playa except those that are hobbes

Ahhhhh, Bill.

I had an outdoor Christmas tree one year that was so mangy that we called it Bill. Bill the Tree.

The neighbours maybe didn't like it much, but once it got its name, we loved it more than any other tree we'd ever had. :lol:
