I used to enjoy following him and his "the end is near" posts. I just clicked on the one post of his on the main page and the link to his user page was dead. Did he offend TPTB?

Darn. That's a shame. I always considered him to be like a weather vane for the economy. While his predictions for world wide catastrophic failure were ridiculous, they did help me get a feel for where the general public was. Using his "The long cold winter" thread I realized that a bubble was about to burst because people like him were suddenly starting to scare the shit out of skittish investors.

I disagree........we all bring something to the table here.
Sure, he rubbed many the wrong way, but, also added a lot, and had been here, a long time, with many fine posts........
I don't agree with everything he says, but, I'd submit, there are many, many or offensive posters that "just won't go away"..............

sorry I just made that up

but, that's just me, and I like divergent opinions and ideas.

Did he have his account deleted? I hadn't realized he was gone. And why did he decide to go? I didn't think anyone was complaining about or being offended by him.

Oh some folks here were giving him a bad time. Too bad. I think he's ok. He sends me email. I asked him to come back. He's a nice guy. So am I.

as much as we butt heads, CA, we agree on a lot......yes, I think you're a good guy, too. I appreciate what you post, even if I don't agree, at least you've got something to say!!
