-Teddy. The fight goes on.
Obama was channeling TR in his speech.
If Barry actually said that.....how absurd!! he's bought and paid for, just like all the others. You think, he's gonna so anything about his "deep pocket supporters"?
nope.
He may target others, though..........

and, don't say he's not supported by big business, and, they don't own him, according to his contributor list.
I'm hearing (twenn) the lines.. One time like he was not interested in running again.. Now Biden I s making funny noises about running.. Just odds and ends??
Or when he is reelected he may turn on the good old boys. His roots are in the getto's of the shy town... Or maybe he is out of favor with the big shots..?????

He's definitely out of favor with the wall street crowd and big business is not giving him near the money they did last time around. My bet is once he wins, he's going to go all out for getting the country back on track and rebuilding the opportunities for the middle class. I'm very please with all that he has been able to accomplish during his first term, and once he doesn't have to worry about running again, I think he's going to pull out all the stops to get as many of the promises he made during his first campaign delivered to the people. And to spite the crappy economy, he's still much more in line with the majority of the country than the Republicans.

you think he's out of favor with big business, et al?

Then, he'll pay them back, for their support, when he's got no re-election to worry about.
Right now, they know he's got to pander to the "little folks", to get their votes.

Compare that list to what those same donors gave him last time around. I didn't say they weren't giving him any money, I'm saying they are giving him less and the republicans more.

I dont mind being as you say "myopic", but i like to think of it more as still having some faith in our system and in believing Obama will be a champion for the country during his second term. So go ahead, make fun of me. I can take it. Just make sure you get out and VOTE FOR OBAMA! :!:

The first thing I said when he was elected..

Watch him get his skinny ass stone walled..

I think they are going to try and pop him out like a zit..
Changing horses in the middle of the stream is hard.. But it can be done..

and, I applaud, that you have a candidate/president, you like and have faith in. I may feel you're misdirected, but, good for you, and, I celebrate that.
And, I think it's cute, your "Pollyanna" type faith in our system.......very endearing.

Are you saying, IF, the donors are giving him less, he's not beholden to them? Or, are you saying he's "not as much" beholden, because he's getting less?
Could it be, they know he's already bought, so, don't have to pony up as much money?

If he's bought for a nickel, or he's bought for a dime....he's still bought.
comparisons, in this case, don't matter.
if he's bought, he's bought, regardless of whomever else they are trying to purchase.

No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying he's going to take the money and then do the right thing--for his and our country. I really believe (hope) that he will put his legacy first and I believe history will look admiringly upon him. But even if he only accomplishes a quarter of what I expect of him, that will be immeasurably more than I would expect from the alternative.

I would suggest that Occupy Oakland has taken over the reigns of the Occupy Movement. Let's see if the ILWU goes along with the west coast port shutdown on the 12th.....
If I were a stevedore I would be there to knock you out..
I guess you don't know that ILWU local 10 has supported the Occupy Oakland movement. I work for local 10 and am friendly with the past president.
Your ignorance of ILWU's west coast issues is understandable but your threat is based on ignorance. Working people, the unions are getting squeezed and screwed all over the US by the owners of giant multi-national companies and the best you can do is threaten me? You must be an idiot.

If the stevedores union strikes isn't that the same thing as the OWS striking? I think the unions for the most part are on the side of OWS. I'm just confused by the train of thought here.

The union would have demands.. If they are working right now.. The have a binding contract no to strike until the contract is up.. OWS intends to shut the place down so no one can work/make a living..They can not speak for the union.. If the union walks out they can all be fired by contract..

ILWU wouldn't call for a west coast strike unless they had good cause. They're being screwed right now by a company at least partly owned by Goldman Sachs.http://www.longshoreshippingnews.com/tag/ilwu-local-21/

I wrote "Chemtrails" in the quote because it was in the title to the youtube video you posted, and I think it's silly to quote/repaste an embedded object/video, but didn't want to quote it or not put any context for what I was quoting or which post I was referring to.

Chemtrails...geeze how long can the laundry list get?

Orwell, I might as well add one more!

VOTER FRAUD and voter suppression by Republicans to prevent Democrats from voting.

There are some rediculous new laws going into effect in some red states before the next election that have rediculous voter registration requirements, rediculous voter ID requirements, rediculous restrictions in when people can vote and the rediculous curtailing of early voting...all under the guise of preventing/eliminating rampant voter fraud, when in truth, there is no factual evidence or voter fraud to support their claims for these draconian regulations.

Anyone objectively looking at the classes of voters these laws are aimed at can easily tell that these laws are aimed at preventing classes of people that are more likely to vote Democrat: Students, Blacks, elderly, to name three. And looking further at some of the types of identification that would be required to vote is further confirmation of the nefariousness of these laws--why for example would a gun permit be considered acceptable ID? Simply because those people would be more likely to vote Republican.

Anyway, now that my rant is over, I found and wanted to post one of the most complete studies on voter fraud I have ever come across, which proves, in my opinion, that the main reason cited for all of these new voter ID/suppression laws is bogus:

is it a huge problem, to have I.D. to vote? To prove you live there? To prove your eligible?
Just wondering, why that's so bad?
It's not like elections are a surprise.
It's not like it'd be so tough, to have papers, drivers license, whatever, to prove ahead of time.

and, I totally disagree there is no voter fraud.
and gerrymandering and stuff is very much done, by both parties......remember, the 30 mile long, 10' wide "district connector" that the rep. from here in northern CA had, so he could include a college campus (or some such liberal enclave), to make sure he had enough democratic voters? I forget his name...seems it was sometime in the 70's.

Simple, really. There is absolutely nothing coming out of the Republican party these days that I respect or agree with. Nothing! Their primary campaingn and list of candidates is shameful. (John Huntsman and Ron Paul excepted) And this is coming from someone that used to be a Republican.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Simple, really. There is absolutely nothing coming out of the Republican party these days that I respect or agree with. Nothing! Their primary campaingn and list of candidates is shameful. (John Huntsman and Ron Paul excepted) And this is coming from someone that used to be a Republican.

yeah, I don't see much good coming from them, either..unfortunately (for me anyway), it's the same from the dems.

See, now it makes a little more sense, to me, how you are.

Millions on ton of product move through a port per day..
Shutting down the port only stop the workers from work.. Then there will have to be over time to get the product out to the 99% public.. At a much higher cost..
I thank you OWS for dipping deeper into my pocket..

That's funny. But let me assure you that if John Huntsman were the Republican nominee, my tone would be entirely different. Just the fact that he is polling in the 1% range speaks volumes to why I have nothing but contempt for Republican policy and those that support those policies.

I'll pay they extra and not complain about it. A small price to pay if it helps restore economic parity.
