No, but I was up early due to the light from a full moon on the snow, making for a bright morning sky and a frantic Sail Man thinking he overslept. :shock:

False - I am not building a cat condo, but I am doing BM fabrication.

After killing 7 out of 10 feet of EL-wire in 2011, I decided to get some 1/4" x 0.170" clear vinyl tubing to surround my EL wire and protect it from kinks and everything else that the playa throws at it. It worked, but threading it through was a royal pain in the ass. I ended up attaching a 15ft length of thread to one end of the wire, and mushed up a paper clip with some needle-nose pliers to attach to the other end of the thread and make a heavy slug. I had hoped to pull the metal slug through with a magnet, but I didn't have my neodynium magnets on hand, and fridge magents were useless. I ended up using gravity and shaking to get it halfway down the tube, and then just whipped it around above my head and used centrifugal force to get it all the way through.

In the end, success, I now have a method to make EL wire much tougher.

Yep, and it might be sinking fast! Bail or liquidate? I think bailing will work, just a liittle more and a patch here and new board there, should be in ship shape, someyear...



TPBM missed the moon's eclipse but made up for it by catching a great sunset the following day.
