Is it possible to join a "theme Camp" once we arr

Hey there!
My friend and I have never been to Burning Man before.....Did we need to reserve a decent camping spot?
Would it be possible to join a "theme camp"?
We aer bringing all our own supplies but I think it would be fun to stay with others?

There is allways a camp that needs help with a project on playa, so you might be able to hook up with a camp that needs warm bodies. I would ride around and offer to help out and see what happens. Keep in mind that many of these camps have been working together for months, but seek and you may just find.
There is plenty of unreserved camping space.

It would be pretty random if you came to 2:30 and Mercury and made a couple of pizzas. Then you could be a member of the Random Pizza Community.
