That information will not be published.

That's sad. Everybody's curious. What would it hurt to be transparent? After all. BM is a non-profit now. What I want to know is......They stopped the retail sales. Are they going to stop the 'Preapar for the Playa sale' too? I give a demonstration on tutu making. It's great fun but totally commercial.

Re: Pre Sale stats?
For a number of reasons, the BMOrg chooses not to publish every fact and statistic surrounding the event (though quite a bit of information is made available post event via the AfterBurn report). Burning Man is not non-profit now. The event is still governed by the LLC, not the newly formed Burning Man Project.
As far as I'm aware, you'd want to contact the organizers of Prepare For The Playa regarding questions about their plans.

Trilobite is correct.
Try asking how much profit they made last year or what the salaries and bonuses are for the 6. See what kind of reaction you get. Ask yourself why this information needs to be secret... Ask yourself if what this says about the 1000s of people that volunteered their blood and sweat to build this event.
There is absolutely no law or statute that prevents the LLC from disclosing this sort of info. It is strictly 'voluntary' on their part. They simply choose not to disclose...

Re: Pre Sale stats?
To suggest that anything less than sharing every bit of information with all customers is dishonest is, quite frankly, ludicrous. The BMOrg is under no obligation (legal or otherwise) to disclose that information publicly.
