Simon can have the bus I get dibs on the explosives. Second year megalomania has hit and I need to be able to blow things up this burn.
I wish I could be as sweet and understanding as others on this board, but I want to come to Nevada and shake you till your teeth rattle. Delle says it better, and that is how I feel about all of you. With all the asshole crap in the world, to loose one of you beauties hurts us all.

Re: Suicidal Tendencies
if i hadnt been to burning man and hence still felt in the slightest suicidal like i did before today would have been a tipping point.
i woke up not wanting to go to my new shiny exciting job which was unusual so far. I should have listened to my intuition. on the way to work a knocked over a motorcyclist, fortunately he wasnt hurt nor was his bike or my van. however it could cost me £500 then on my second and last job of the day i got a puncture. i have to pay for the new tire £84
total earnings £80
total loss £584 (potentially)
fucker of a day i am going to get hideosly drunk tonight as i am not on call and think of how something so simple as a party in the desert and the wonderful people i know because of it can make such a difference.

Grai, you are a spectacularly lucky man. If you lived in the USA, you would now be buying the motorcyclist a brand new motorcycle (US $ 10.000), because the frame of the old one was bent ever so slightly (detectable by laser beams) in the mishap. Then you would be paying for his trip to the emergency room in a helicopter (US $ 16.000.) And so forth.graidawg wrote: on the way to work a knocked over a motorcyclist, fortunately he wasnt hurt nor was his bike or my van. however it could cost me £500

Graidawg, please don't take this the wrong way, but according to OUR driving standards, YOU were on the wrong side of the road, and the motorcyclist was correct.
Still, I'm glad everyone was OK.

nope! but I'll help you hide from Emigration Control. Mary you (in a gay legal marriage state) or arrange a strait mirage for you(no befits unless you pay extra. ). I also would help you become a member of our Tribe. (you'd have to Denounce king and country), and or help you sneak into the country from Canada.graidawg wrote:fuck you sham! Very well put Elliot. (seems things are improving, for many here in this thread/this strange little place eplaya....and beyond to the burn(s)/real world...woot!)
I remember a silly 1970's poster my lil' sis had hanging in her room when we were young, paraphrased it said;
"Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved" Simplistic & corny, but I like it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some juicing to do in the Eplaya Fitness Club which YOU founded... dear, sweet Elliot! *moon now walking off to the kitchen*

That's a famous line from some dramatic era... Maybe the Revolutionary war? It sure rings true, whoever said it.
Yeah, I like your quote too. When life has to be endured, something is wrong.
Yes... quiet on this thread now. Let's hope that's because the whiners of us have less to whine about -- not because we have all jumped off tall bridges! I'm feeling much improved over just a month or two ago, lemme tell ya.

This too happened to me. and I would again break these laws of men just to look into my loved one's eyes. you passport is your enemy, those borders are marks in the sand. we are human, and have a right to move around the planet. Grai, if you have nothing that will bar your entry, I suggest you explore your options.
I hear military service is a direct way to citizenship here.
There may be essential services you can do, or public service that will enhance your chances.
I know canadia gives preference to those moving to unpopulated areas.
Catholic groups spend a lot relocating people here to prop up a dying cult, even engaging in smuggling.
They might help with employment, etc.
Marriage is a popular choice when all else fails.
Be aware of all the new rules.
Very different from the past.

Hey Gyre!
Why didn't you tell him that he could just come over here and grab a piece of land from one of the clueless natives that don't have a seance of propriety? or that just by being here converting heathens would be God's will? better yet tell him that for every savage he kills and scalps he can have another slave or a fattend oxen?

No doubt without publicity, this would have been another massacre.
http://www.usmarshals.gov/history/wound ... index.html
http://www.history.com/topics/wounded-knee

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wounded_Knee_Incident"The equipment maintained by the military while in use during the siege included fifteen armored personnel carriers, clothing, rifles, grenade launchers, flares, and 133,000 rounds of ammunition, for a total cost, including the use of maintenance personnel from the national guard of five states and pilot and planes for aerial photographs, of over half a million dollars."
The data gathered by the historians Record and Hocker largely concur: "...barricades of paramilitary personnel armed with automatic weapons, snipers, helicopters, armored personnel carriers equipped with .50-caliber machine guns, and more than 130,000 rounds of ammunition". The statistics on the U.S. government force at Wounded Knee vary, but all accounts agree that it was a significant military force including "federal marshals, FBI agents, and armored vehicles." One eyewitness and journalist described "sniper fire from…federal helicopters," "bullets dancing around in the dirt," and "sounds of shooting all over town" [from both sides].

Been a bit more busy, I'm now back in Calgary staying with my papa-in-law for the holidays. lived here for 30+ years so it's nice to be 'home'. It's really good to hang out and catch up with friends...even though I hate the question "what have you been up to?" because I feel like i don't have much worthy of sharing. it's all in my head...a confidence thing...man that confidence eludes me when I'm depressed.Elliot wrote:.
