Volunteering is a valuable and *extremely* rewarding part of anyone's Burning Man experience, both on- and off-playa. I would love to have members of each group write a haiku description of what each group does, perhaps including the type of person that migrates to these roles (like for example, the Gate people are often misanthropic, greeters are God damn cheery people, Rangers are the dad you never had, etc; these are obviously not in haiku form. Whatever.)

I love putting up the signs and I plan on doing it again. But you see...This being on 6 month probation at work twice for two different positions has left me with a SHITLOAD of vacation time. Vacation and Comp Time added together = I could take a month off of work right now!. So what the hay. I filled out a volunteer app and indicated I'd be willing and qualified to drive semi for DPW. I could do that shit for 2 weeks prior and 1 week after. Maybe more. Hell... If I was done driving and I was available...I'd put up signs too!!!

Not to worry Robbidobbs. I'm still dedicated to the Potty Project. It's fun and I dig tearing roughly two thousand strips of duck tape. The company is excellent and one is never far from a pot to pis in.
