I totally agree.cowboyangel wrote:Godaddy relented. It's great proof that customer solidarity can bring a corporation to heel. Wouldn't it be great to do that to more errant corporations?
This was the point behind Taft-Hartley and making solidarity strikes illegal. It's high time to gut Taft-Hartley. It's US (us) against the corporations. How about the telecoms getting retroactive immunity? Goddddammnnnnnn
Right ygmir. That was the point of Rev. Billy getting involved in OWS. OWS needs to mass mobilize flash boycotts....that would be super. Make Billy the spiritual figure head of OWS if those kitty cats would only see the light....ygmir wrote:I totally agree.cowboyangel wrote:Godaddy relented. yup, using our pocket book, as influence, to me, is perfect.
Non violent, non confrontational.
as simple as " we don't like what you do/who you are/what you make/ what you sell.....or whatever" and, we're not going to patronize you.
simple.
well, except for big oil, I suppose, since we won't dare live close to out jobs, and stuff like mass transit.

agreed.cowboyangel wrote:The internet is how flash mobs mobilize....that needs to mature into "Flash Boycotts". It could be done. We have to acknowledge that thinking as individuals can only go so far, real effective action is community or group based. Corporations act as "groups" as collectives with a single purpose, let's use their own fucking model for a change.
