Unabashedly Bashing A Vegan (or Vegetarian if that's your b.
Are we not one big human family eating the Smörgåsbord of life?
There may be a hundred good reasons to be a vegan or a vegetarian, and the only real reason some chose not to is?
But please don't get me wrong. I was once a vegetarian; for three years. I was pretty good at it. Kinda. I never claimed a moral reason; nor did I say I was doing it for altruistic motives. I really wasn't concerned that cows might have feelings but then again I'm an insensitive jerk. But one thing I did realize is; regardless of what one chooses to eat and call food, offering some one food is an act of love. what could be more civil than breaking bread and maybe offering some Pâté to put on it?
Every Time I am looking forward to seeing my friends and hanging out with them I am also looking forward to some yummy food. Certain friends of mine can be counted on to be bringing the finest of cheeses, the most flavorful and imaginative Pilafs, concoctions of Egg and Cheese, milk and meat, and the nicest organic-home-grown-heirloom-fair-trade Veggies. Often a friend will hear that I have been feeling badly and they will offer me some hot chicken broth, while others will insist that I need was a tea spoon of bee pollen and a clove of garlic.
The thing that made me decide I was an omnivore was the taken-back-aghast-looks from some hungry friends to whom I had offered some deep-aged-bourbon venison jerky on a hiking trip.
I ate their granola? WTF? even though it was organic!
Doe's not, love = love?
Food= food?
They say: Animals are living breathing things and we can't eat them!
I say: If animals aren't supposed to be eaten, then why are they made out of meat?

Maybe if you had tried some of that aged in sake fish jerky instead?
I find it's best to start vegetarians out slow, convert them to aquatarians, then move on to the legged meat group.
Vegans, try starting by offering them vitamins, if that fails then I find rushing them to the emergency room helps (the poor, lilting, little things, they forget the W's)

Oh my god Nipple, next you'll be saying you don't care who people marry, or what they wear, or where they work! From there it's the slippery-slope to not caring about their religion or politics... holy crap- you would let people *gasp* think for themselves! The secret shame of veg-ism is the senseless slaughter of nematodes.

** Based on my personal experience **
The funny thing is... I have been a vegetarian all my life. Since my childhood, I have had many friends who were non-vegetarians. I remember times (as far back as when I was in 3rd grade) when my friends and I would eat lunch together. Some would bring meat and I would eat my vegetarian lunch. My class had a good number of muslims, christians, and hindus... vegetarians and non-vegetarians. And I don't once recall being insulted/bashed/made-fun-of for being a vegetarian or for being a Hindu. And I don't recall anyone bullying other kids based on religion or eating habits.
Only after travelling to the most developed, western world I have really experienced/witnessed such intolerance. It amazes me since I had taken that kind of acceptance for granted in my own country (and we have our share of religious feuds). Ahh, the fun of "seeing" the world

well I think Meat tastes pretty dang fine.
And Smoked Salmon even better!
What the hell is with the Vegetarian fake-Meat products? Taste just like Turkey! WTF? Even when I was a vegetarian I wouldn't eat such rubbish.
Soy Bacon? Fer real? Although Bacon bits contain no bacon they are yummy, but the snooby Vegetarians can't kick back and enjoy, no most would whine...
When a Vegan Gives head and swallows are they cheating?

I justify cannibalism as a vegan based on the "Oral Sex Loophole". Since vegans will ostensibly consume their partners vaginal fluids, or semen, this places people outside of any "animal biproduct" prohibitions.
This also works for kosher laws, since breast milk is considered kosher.
I guess what I'm trying to say is... this is going to be the BEST PASSOVER SEDER EVER.
WHY IS THIS NIGHT DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER NIGHTS?

Do you want us to make fun of you for being hindu?
We will, but if you could pretend to be catholic, it would be a lot easier.
If you have met our vegetarians, you should understand.
My favorite are the exceptions - "vegetarian, but I eat fish, beef, pork, cauliflower" .

Why does vegan cheese taste bad?
It hasn't been tested on mice.

I don't understand, why a vegan, or vegetarian, wants something made to taste " just like" meat, cheese, whatever.

I wonder the same thing about people who go to McDonalds or eat the processed crap in grocery stores.ygmir wrote:I don't understand, why a vegan, or vegetarian, wants something made to taste " just like" meat, cheese, whatever.
At the end of the day that stuff is all about comfort and convenience. Around these parts, the sandwich is the lunch paradigm. If you don't have meat or cheese, what the fuck do you put in a sandwich? Lettuce? A slab of tofu (this is actually pretty good)... People don't know how to prepare food any more. Hence the rise of cardboard boxed food-products.
People of ALL diets can and do eat stir-fried bullshit.
As far as anyone and my diet goes... The rules are pretty simple: are you making me a cake? Dinner? That's awful nice of you. There's really no need though. I feed myself just fine. If you're not, and please take this in the nicest way possible, please enjoy healthy dose of "mind your own fuckin' business".

Leave us alone and Go Start a Carnivores suck thread!
A guy has celery sticking out of one ear, lettuce out of the other, and a zucchini up his nose.
He goes to the doctor and asks him what's wrong.
The doctor tells him, "Well, for one thing, you're doing it wrong."
