I can't wait to meet and see all your smiling faces!
This will be my first year! But have been interested in going since I was like 13(now 21) just never made it, and can never talk my friends into going so I finally decided this year I'm going no matter what weather I have to make the drive by myself or not i am going!
I signed up to volunteer as a greeter so I'll be seeing/meeting a lot of you as you get there!
I'm from Fresno California!
Cant wait for this and to make new friends and have some new experiences!

Hey. I'm glad to see another new face, welcome to the group. 
I know exactly what you mean about being a burgin and can never seem to talk any of your friends into going, I'm right there with you...well, except coming from Mississippi. (I'm still hoping to get some friends to go, though! Saving money of fuel is always a good thing.) I also have signed up for the greeters and there's also a facebook group for them/us, https://www.facebook.com/groups/446754915561/ I've already talked to several people that have provided a lot of information and tips about a first visit out to the playa.
Anyways, let me know if there's anything I can do for ya and I'll see you out on the playa.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

But I just got my email saying to consider myself a greeter. So Idk yet what days I want to greet I am going early to help set up.
I'm thinking 2nd and 3rd actual official day of BM anytime of day idc.lol

Who do you plan to help set up and get your EA pass from?
Another really fun way to volunteer is selling Ice at either Arctica (center camp), Ice Cubed (3 O'clock), or Ice-9 (9 o'clock). The shifts are short, so they don't take a whole day, and you meet lots of cool folks.

I want to help set up greeters camp and also while I'm there help out any other camp/whoever.
Yeah I thought about doing ice sales. But I watched videos on the greeters and that's my kind of thing!lol

Welcome Andy!! You will have the time of your life. On my first trip my 'ride share' companion told me this...."You won't really know what you got out of the experience till you get back". How true. Relax and enjoy. Welcome.
