A funny thing happened on the Playa...........

Post by Lilly Flower » Sun Sep 05, 2004 5:48 am

Just wondering what the experiences there were on the Playa.
I know that there are some great stories and would love to hear them and my goodness, I'm sure other Eplayans who could'nt go this year would love to hear also.

Ring, Cowboy, Isotopia I'm sure you'll have something to say once you're back.

I'm sure we all want to hear.

Oh my!
You are watching too much TV.

Black Rock Triathalon

Post by clairedad » Tue Sep 07, 2004 6:25 pm

The First Annual Black Rock Triathalon was hysterical. The guy running it was very funny with the megaphone and the naked guy who had to pee cracked me up.

Rings’ Latest Outrage

Post by calsur » Tue Sep 07, 2004 8:51 pm

Lilly Flower,

Rings’ Latest Outrage.

At the Meet and Greet, can you guess whose name Ring used on his name tag? You got it, “Black Rock Ric”.

Which was fun for me later on. Badger, Silver, Karma and several other large guys where talking and I brought Ring over to them. As Ring got to the little circle of people I said in a very loud voice “Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Black Rock Ric” and shoved Ring into the circle. Badger had Ring by the throat in a heart beat. And Ring screws the whole thing up by laughing his head off.

It was a great time.

Thats dangerous, I thought of wearing a T-shirt saying Black Rock pRick but was concerned of being randomly assulted.

despite all the negativity I have heard up until now, I STILL managed magically to have an amazing experience.
I was blessed to be part of a vocal jazz group. I met this woman on eplaya who was heading it up. we all had our music many weeks before and were able to practice it ahead of time. But honestly, I had my doubts that it would come off well.
My expectations were blown off the hook. The group was so bad-ass, I was in awe. I could have never done anything that good in a "controlled" environment, ie. school, church, anywhere but the playa. It was a work of spirit, magic, God, whatever...It was total grace.
I now have 6 other pretty hefty people that I will call friends and musical lovers from now on.
Love,
Maldita
