A wise man once said.

Post by lemur » Wed Jan 18, 2012 7:23 am

an ant hurries along a threshing floor with its wheat grain
moving between huge stacks of wheat not knowing the abundance all around
it thinks its one grain is all there is to love.

so, we choose a tiny seed to be devoted to. This body, One path, or One teacher..
Look wider and farther.

I was given something else, a cap to wear in both worlds... it fell off

I like cheese too. Really strong cheese. The kind that smells like you have had your socks on for 3 weeks. makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum!

Don't ever let your family know that you can fix computers. If you do, you'll become their personal 24/7 tech support as well as all their friends.

“The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.” - Castaneda

You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~ Alfred D. Souza
