Postby tattoogoddess » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:31 pm

Now that it is getting closer I am hearing some real good ones. Lets hear yours and have a good laugh.

Via Facebook-
"On a serious note: Just got word (phone call) from a reliable source (not kidding) : TICKETS HAVE SOLD OUT DUE TO A COMPUTER ERROR DURING THE LOTTERY. This will be announced in a few days on the BM website. Just wanted to give everyone heads up so you can cancel your RV reservations etc etc. Sorry, guys :( "

Is that some sort of underhanded tactic to keep people from registering to ensure their own winning?!

Kinda sounded that way to me. I wonder if people can be blacklisted from winning for posting this kinda shit?

I, personally, like rumors. Things would be pretty boring without it.

i overheard a rumor that burners were a very hearty bunch and that changes in the ticketing process wouldnt phase them in any way and wouldnt create any hurt feelings.

I heard that, in order to keep the numbers down to a manageable size, the date and location of the actual burn has been changed.
I probably shouldn't have repeated that one.

I heard that the ticket process has been hacked into and everyone who gave their CC info is noe financing someone's trip to the closest star in the closest galaxy.
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

I can't verify this for certain, but the BMORG seems to be taking all the rumors and make them reality. Let's make sure the rumors are good ones.

53,000 Virgins on the playa, looking around for something cool to happen. No Musicians make it in, no veterans, just dark wads on darkwad bikes pedalling into each other looking for where it is at... I don't know if this is a rumour...

I reckon. Somebody did once. I have a vision of an abandoned city, deep in the jungle, deep in the desert. Everyone has long disappeared. A roving band discovers the empty ruins of the civilization and set up house wondering where and why did the previous occupants go. In the background, floating through the air from an unknown source if Freddie and the Dreamers music...It is just a vision...

I heard they are scrubbing the names of people who are saying the lottery has failed. They are blackballed and put on the "scalpers list"

Disagreeing with the lottery=no ticket(s).
What other people think about you is none of your business.

Best? Maybe it's the coffee (I drank an entire pot today!! grrr) but, I heard nosy, meddling, nit picking, buzzkilling, trigger tempered, finger pointing, burgins are going to calm the fuck down and do their preparations and relax and have a nice mellow burn with the rest of us, and NOT waste precious time being some sort of watch dog here on eplaya or interfering with anyone's burn on the playa. Leave your 'watchdog" attitude at home. Sheesh! It's an art festival, relax and enjoy it with everyone...(we hope!!)
Watch yourself if you have to be a watch dog and rrreeelllaaaxxxxx......(pleeeez relax) have fun and wear yer sunscreen. :| get it yet? We hope so...!!

Oh, I also heard the lottery was spinning out of control...please submit all extra tickets (fucking hoarders) to the LLC STEP program for re-distribution at once!
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

I heard a burner web out to the trash fence to get pictures of the burn from a distance. He was about to take a picture when he heard rustling behind him, when he turned around and there was Bigfoot, standing at 7 feet tall and looking down on him.
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.
