Come on PEOPLE and talk with the SPAZ™

Post by Spaz » Wed Sep 08, 2004 8:14 pm

Thats right people, I'm the broken leg, IV dripping bullhorning nuisance on a golfcart who was out there reminding everyone not to abuse the porta potties, to pick up their goddamn trash, not behave like a yahoo, also spreading public service announcements including color, number, body part, injury, and phrase of the day. I capmed in Gigsville where we do stupid right.

TALK TO ME PEOPLE, let me know what you thought of me, the playa, the burn, or any damn thing you wish to express. THE SPAZ IS IN. I am listening, and will respond to all your posts. Jackassery is highly encouraged.

Let's have it!

The number of the day is zero.
The injury of the day is playa foot.
Saturday is masturbation day.
The phrase of the day is "Fuck Burning Man, i need a shower!"

it was my first time..finally..on the playa, and i am just itching..how expected is that..to connect with other people who went too because i fell in love with the whole place, and i miss it so bad even if i just left it on monday morning.
this is the first time for me on the eplaya too..and you're the first person i have written to as well..i was asked during the week what i thought was the most whatever, and i didn't have any answer but as the man fell a wave went over me like the ancient lake was wet again and gasp i felt in my chest LOVE for the gathered city of people who could do such a thing as party this way. then as the temple lit up and the dust tornadoes whorled i UNDERSTOOD so much more and felt spirits licking at the stars in the orange fireball that took the shape of the thin wooden filigrees. i can't wait to hear about your mouth-watering experiences!

I remember your words

I was there in front of the zip line on za magic carpet ride when you were spreadin your word of the porta poo's problems, we spead your word to all listening and made a PSA on K-Sverts radio. Most think but never act...so sad. I almost fell to the bottom of one myself. Thanks for trying. Was not a lost cause

these are some of my favorite things

Post by Spaz » Wed Sep 08, 2004 10:23 pm

definitely taking out a blind person to drive the cart and spin donuts on the playa - a huge biggie.

taking the head from a 30-lb pig cooked in our car-b-q, then spiking it to the top of a bar and funneling a beerbong through its mouth - BEER PIG BONG!

the temple burn - truly breathtaking and amazing. kudos to david best yet again - and THANKS for the wheelchair access ramp! I wouldnt have been able to climb on the temple without it!

was that 3-d pingpong ball cube amazing or what? how bout the house? the tree of zen? oh yeah the rollercoaster, the tessla coil... camp carp (DPW ROCKS!) - the DPW parade, two weddings, love love love....

im in such withdrawal i cannot stand it. we have such a beautiful thing here. god bless us and keep us safe, and lets do it again even better next year, really educating those damn fratboy yahoos so they dont let a beercan hit the ground.

anyone in the SF area wishing to hang out is openly invited, hit me up and ill give you the addy. im dying to share stories photos and bodily fluids.

Spaz,
I hope your leg is getting better. It was great hearing you yelling out the colors and the numbers of the day. I had heard you were looking for some vinegar for your IV. I asked/looked around for some, but found none...sorry.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But more importantly, I feel that I must remind you.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!
It's an E-playa message board!

Thank you,
I have no further information at this time.

"The color of the day is plaid..."
Hi Spaz!
We were camped across the street from Barbie's Death Camp and played the Chicken Opera record numerous times throughout the week.
It was nice to meet you and your announcements of the day were definately a highlight.

Spazzzzzzzzz

"You're going the wrong way goddamit!" I didnt run into you this year, but 2003 we saw and talked to you everyday. I had the 2 Brides and a Tribe camp with the feely box. I cant tell you how many mornings I woke up to "fuck Gigsville in the nose" and other nuggets of gold. You also stole our camp vigin's underwear her first morning on the playa...classic. We loved you and listened this year for you...but the playa trickster wouldnt let us dance. You my man having a standing invite to my camp any year for life. A little crusty on the outside but your warmed this old lesbian's heart and I think I might have even had a little crush on you.

Nibbles and scratches.....Laura

Spaz, baby!

What you do is so veryvery right!

You cruised past Cafe Village a time or two, and while we were always too drunk/tired to get up and say hi, we always laughed and hollered and waved our fists weakly!! Stop in for a Bloody Mary next year!

Thanks for spreading the word!!

woah THIS old thread.... time to update it!

Post by Spaz » Sat Sep 24, 2005 1:33 pm

hey folks... wow I entirely forgot I started this thread last year after the burn. lots happened since.

let's see, i had a bunch more surgeries, beginning with my leg being surgically re-broken in january, then more infection problems, and more surgeries. i ended up in a external fixator - a cage - that held my leg together and that was pulled off in April. June 1 I moved down to LA where I'm now staying in studio city and working in Burbank trying to pick up the pieces of my shattered life. I got some assistance with a BM ticket this year, and made it up to the burn for a full 8 days. Camped in the same large village id been in for 4 years where so much drama came my way that I sorely regretted not taking the offer to camp at Carp, except for the gracious hospitality extended to my by Lahontan Korps which was my one saving grace. Had a blast with old friends I hadnt seen in a long time, made new friends, and even found myself hanging out with beautiful ladies on every single evening except one.

I spent the burn promoting a new idea I thought up with a friend of mine last year, made a stencil, and it seemed to be real popular with Gate, DPW, Rangers, and other old-schoolers. It's called Yahoo Vengeance Task Force, and if anyone is on Tribe.net the link is http://tribes.tribe.net/yvtf - it's an experimental group organized to come up with proactive solutions to the worst of our community problems, and finding constructive ways to put them into action. The Rangers seem to like what we're up to, and who knows, if our hearts and actions are in the right place we just might end up being a supportive group working with them.

Well. that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

By the way, although most staffers dpw and rangers might remember me as Spaz, most of my closest friends are now calling me "simmer" and that's the name I can be found under on tribe.

peas luff & playa dust,

)*( simmer
