Hey! This 'making slices' in fabric turns out to be a cool conversion tool. This stretchy, bouncy, heavy synthetic skirt makes a great cape. I just slit it up the back. (no finishing seams necessary.) I left some fabric intact close to the front edges. Snip, snip and sewed a sash, that I cut in half, onto the collar at the top. The elastic waistband makes it comfortable around my shoulders. I think I could snip a bed sheet and make it into one of those camo sun shades.
