I will be honest here, at first my fiancee' asked me for 2 years if i would ever go to Burning Man. Being a native Carsonite (Carson city, Capital of Nevada) i had seen all the burners coming in to the rib cook off after the burn, as a little girl I asked my mom "what is wrong with those people mom?" I was so confused. She tried her best to explain to me why these people were in public covered in white dust and in funny costumes. As an adult i started to understand what was going on, but still had no desire to attend. Again, the fiancee' shows me pics and tells me stories about his escapades in the playa. I started to get excited last year, but we couldn't afford it. This year is another story, we are getting married July 28th 2012 and guess who will be in Black Rock City almost a month to the day after our wedding???? CHYEA!!!! 320x 2!!!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone and participate, contribute, and play! I think I might be heading home for the first time ever! much love <3 <3 <3

You mean the one that says BURNINGMAN, AWARDED & TICKETS in the headline, and then after your all excited you see eplaya topic reply notification? Yeah I can feel the hate for that one, every time I delete it, it comes back again and again..

Have you gone through your recycle bin 50 times today to check that you didn't delete the confirmation email ? I have. LOL

Yeah and also scrolled down past the emails from today just to make sure it didn't put it in there in some odd time stamp and I missed it.

I probably got 2x $390 tickets for myself and a friend (and no, that friend didn't enter the lottery too), based on:

15:13:37 -0800 (PST) An authorization for $805.00 at BURNING MAN SAN FRANCISCO CA has been made...

(And yes, the hax0r g33kz not on the 24 hour clock will take notice)

I didn't get an email confirmation, but I know why (Their email server is "poorly configured", so to a real* email server, it looks like it is spamming or forging email, and gets rejected).

This is such a psychological head trip/game. It is our choice whether to buy into it or not. I am trying to just have fun now since I my buddy has a back up plan for me. (though I will have a hard time affording a $390) The head trip is, getting "awarded" a ticket. It really isnt a personal reward, it is a random drawing. Nobody should take it personally but it is hard not to, especially with all of the inernet hubub....As low key as I have been (I dont work on any major art projects or run a theme camp) I am still feeling a little punished and not part of the Kool Kids hahahaaa its all pretty funny really in the grand scheme of things.

That stupid inbox is driving me nuts and it doesn't even need to. I am already going for $390 if I must but I am sucked in by the GAME of it all!

Well, it's 7am here in my country. I wake up after a night without much sleep, and still no email. I had this bad feeling since yesterday.. I guess there might be no 5th burn for me. Every day the plane tickets are getting higher, there are less RV and less bikes to rent. last year I was stucked in the queue for hours in January, but it was WAY better than this year... I feel sad.

It's a more than 8000 miles trip for me to go to BRC, because of that it needs A LOT of logistic. The end of March sale is too late for me, there won(t be any RV left, no bikes... And I can't travel with those things obviously so I really need to rent them. So for me it was now or never.. Never it might be...
