I created a petition to try and get the scope of this issue to the ORG team, and propose a way to rectify the situation (end scalping and hording). We might not all agree on the solution, but we can petition that **something** needs to be done.

Oh I'm pretty sure the BMorg understands how upset people are. Hopefully tickets will start shaking out here real soon and we can all dance in the dust.

I fully support what the petition is asking for.

However, I am doubtfully if it is not too late to make these changes.

But I'll sign it in hopes for making a change next year.

I am really unhappy with the way this has all panned out, both in lacking a ticket personally and perhaps even more - the animosity much of this has caused among our community.

However, I seriously wonder if anyone honestly thinks a petition would do anything. A petition generally indicates how many people support your position / actions - but what actions? Are you planning to boycott the event if they dont cave to your petition?

That is just funny if you think about it - boycotting an event because you couldn't get tickets.

I signed but I see two issues with content and # signatures:

The demands are too specific, plus how it gets addressed should be done by b MORG. Simplify demands like "BMORG actively addresses ticket concerns by

immediately publishing lottery data and its analysis
propose solutions to be reviewed by Community and receive public comment by March 15
implement solution by March 31

And the number of signers is too small. Have a signed petition of 15,000 and you have something to talk about.

This would have been my 15th Burn since 1996 and yes I am pissed. This Lottery was a crock of fucking shit. They wanted to make it fair and discourage scalpers? Really? There was no problem. BM Org created the fucking problem. They didn't sell out last year until July. They wanted the fucking money as soon as they could get it. Why scream fire in a crowded theatre? Why does any body need to buy two tickets at once? Why allow one person to buy 4 tickets per person out of the last 10k? Who were the six assholes who created this jug fuck? Were Paul Wolfowitz and Dick Cheney there as advisors?
