Previous Early Entrants Scrubbed from Lottery List?
Please, please tell us that i am wrong. It's a very low probability that this mistake could have happened, but can't even begin to contemplate that such a horrible mistake could have been made.
I pray to God that this didn't accidentally occur.
It's just that, in our small, unplaced 30 person, very interactive camp, we were 0 for 6 for people getting tickets this year who obtained early entry passes last year for their volunteer work, whereas our camp mates who didn't receive early entry passes had a very high success rate. Many other camps have reported astoundingly low numbers of tickets obtained, saying over and over again that their core people have been shut out.
Please tell us, with data, that this horrendous mistake didn't accidentally occur. Our data:
Early entrants last year:
People bidding $390 - 0 for 1
People bidding $320 - 0 for 2
People bidding $240 - 0 for 3
Non-early entrants:
People bidding $390 - 4 for 4
People bidding $320 - 3 for 3
People bidding $240 - 1 for 5
People with unknown bids - about 60% success rate
What is your camp's data?

EAPs are not tied to a name. There is no way for them to figure out who actually used an EAP.

I have had early entry since they started asking for them. Two tickets at $390.
And yes, same name and address the whole time.
But, EAPs are issued to Camps or Projects, not individuals. And yes, one year the EAPs were sent to me.

Re: Previous Early Entrants Scrubbed from Lottery List?
4 ppl in our household routinely do early arrival and we all got tickets. We went for tickets at the highest tier expecting cheap fawks to go crazy over the lower tiers. I expected this based on the fast sellouts of first tier tickets in years past. We got 100 percent reporting back and got about 70 percent of tickets requested. We all went for 2 tickets knowing and being forewarned about most of the tickets only being available during this round of sales. From what I gather alot of the ppl that got screwed went for lower tiers while also being able to afford higher tiers. The good news for peopke with no tickets is that August is a ways off, people WILL have tickets for reissue/resale. Out of 40,000 peopke there is bound to be layoffs, injuries, evictions, arrests, vehicle meltdowns etc that will result in people having to skip this year.

Re: Previous Early Entrants Scrubbed from Lottery List?
Cool, all i knew is that my Burning Man Tickets Early Arrival Pass (EAP) bar code last year that was sent directly from Burning Man Tickets to the same name and e-mail address that i used to register for tickets this year. I believe my other 5 camp mates who had EAPs last year, also had their EAP bar codes sent to the same name and e-mail address that they used to register for the lottery this year.
I'm totally cool with believing that the six of us who had EAP bar codes sent directly from the org's Burning Man Tickets ([email protected]) EAP bar code list directly to our email addresses being denied tickets whereas our camp mates who did not receive EAP bar codes did much better was a statistical anomaly due to limited data points.
I assume the others who so kindly responded as getting tickets this year were directly on the Burning Man Tickets EAP bar code list last year, rather than a number of EAP bar codes being sent to a camp coordinator and the camp coordinator printing them out and distributing them. I don't know how Burning Man distributed EAP bar codes to the camps last year.
BTW, BlackRockCityPimp, like your camp, our camp also did well in the lottery, we're only short a ticket or two. We gave our camp mates about the same info you gave your camp mates, we told people to overbid the $390's a bit, double-bid the $320's, and you have a snowball's chance if you bid the $240's.
I'm sure our camp's experience with the EAPs<->2012 tickets is just a statistical anomaly then, sorry to even ask about this, thanks for the feedback.
My heart goes out to all our friends trying to obtain tickets.
