Well when you consider the majority of humanity in the world have never had the pleasure of utilizing indoor plumbing, combine that with the fact that food is nothing more than shit with benefits, we can conclude that only the minority of humanity considers their shit so precious as to procure a specific and complicated chair to transport it safely and securely.

Losing sight of said fecal matter, they know not what is precisely done with it. This same population also obtains their food from mostly processed and packaged dealerships. Losing sight of their shit and trusting dealers to supply their shit with benefits, they move along through life not knowing, but trusting their piles of shit are kept separate. They are often observed consuming unbeneficial shit while calling it "food". These are considered "Civilized People."

The majority of humanity maintains a keen sense of where their shit is and where their beneficial shit comes from and they tend to store it underground for safe keeping. They are mostly hunters, gatherers, farmers and opportunistic feeders. One can surmise that those who keep their shit in one pile are more likely to recognize shit when they see it.

And so the obvious conclusion can be obtained by the simple observation that civilized people can't tell the difference between shit and a hole in the ground. One could even declare, "They don't know shit!" If what is called "food" is not beneficial, does it still become shit? No wonder we keep digging a deeper hole in response to being in deep shit! And so that is why we see a surge in the influence of those without indoor plumbing. They know their shit!

HEY.. showing that you can quote stuff might prove that you are knowledgeable BUT.. it will never prove that you are intelligent.

clearly, a smart person.. knows that anyone can collect knowledge, passively.. you can collect all of einsteins knowledge, all of darwins too.. and it will never make you more intelligent.

theres a difference between knowledge and intelligence.

an illiterate farmer might be able to be more intelligent than the smartest LittD or PHD.. cuz those PHD's might have been able to rely on other peoples intelligence, collecting it from books, passively sitting on hoards of knowledge..while being completely unintelligent.

I posted those quotes because they are some of my favorites. I have a special understanding for Darwin's feelings about the plains of Patagonia, because the playa makes me feel the same way. It's barren and huge and beautiful and awe inspiring. I was hoping someone else might see the correlation without me having to point it out.

The Emerson quote struck me because the thing that we, as Burners, have in common is that we have not lost that sense of childlike wonder and amazement with the world. Our wonder drives us to attempt each year to create a Utopian society where we are each accepted for what we have to offer to the society and all gifts are precious.

I also find it infuriating how you drag such pettiness from thread to thread and cause not only myself but other users here to cringe when you arrive on a thread.
