Hello, my name is Angelique. I'm 20 and finishing up a degree in psychology in Cleveland, Ohio before hopefully relocating to California for Graduate school. I'm studying to be a Marriage and Family Counselor and hope to spend my professional life fanning and rekindling flames of love and guiding streams of communication: talking to, listening, and counseling individuals is my calling, art and service work are my passions.
I hope to attend my first burn in 2013 and plan on spending the next year getting involved in regional events, planning a small art project, and developing my camp so that when it is my turn to be a virgin burner I can bring magic and spirit with me to gift as much as I can to the overall experience.
Presently I am in the process of:
Sewing a multitude of Alice-in-Wonderland inspired costume pieces and accessories, and then covering them in led's.
Gathering broken bike bits to make a recumbent tricycle that looks like a tornado (I'm designing a steampunk Dorothy from Wizard of Oz Costume).
Crafting wearable multimedia art pieces for the purpose of gifting.
Brainstorming my next projects once these are completed!
By Burning Man 2013 I hope to have a pretty well developed collection of art, knowledge and positivity to bring with me!
See you on the Playa,
Angie (In Wonderland) <3

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Miss Angie! I'm looking forward to seeing your tornado tricycle. Recumbent trikes work well on the Playa -- here's mine:

Welcome to Eplaya! Your costumes sound wonderful. I wish I had that kind of creative brain. The steampunk alice sounds very intriguing.

Re: Hello from Ohio!!
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome I appreciate it!
And that bike is AMAZING!! I feel inspired to break out of the box in the design of mine, having seen yours
And tamarakay, should we happen to be on the playa at the same time I'd love to gift you a steampunk Alice accessory!
In a week or so I'll post some of my progress in another forum to get some creative feedback

Thank you. That trike is amphibious -- no need for that on the Playa!mzangelique wrote: And that bike is AMAZING!! I feel inspired to break out of the box in the design of mine, having seen yours
