Greetings from Ottawa, eh!
Hey ePlaya! Big shout out from a Burgin headed to BRC for the first time this year.
Burning Man has been something I have wanted to do for the last couple years, and it seems like I definitely picked an interesting year to go. I have been following some of the threads on here for a few weeks in regards to the ticketing situation, and finally decided to sign up and add my voice to the community. While this may be my first year, I'm definitely not planning to go as a sparkle pony... I've been doing tons of reading, I'm (very likely) joining a theme camp, I plan on volunteering, I know what MOOP and Leave No Trace mean and maybe most importantly, I know that I am responsible for making my own experience on the playa.
I know some people are critical of what 2012 will be like at BRC, but I think there is a whole crew of virgins out there ready to surprise and delight once we are given the chance.
Going to Burning Man was something that I knew would push my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual boundaries and I actually decided to get a blog going to share my experience as a virgin... it's still in its infancy, but it's live at http://feeltheburn.arketech.ca
Cheers,
Ian (aka Sparky)

Thanks Elliot! Did that a couple weeks ago, it's been the easiest way to keep up with the official updates on the ticketing situation!

Hey welcome! It will be interesting to watch your progress. Preparing for our first burn was almost as transformational as attending our first burn. Have fun with it!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I dunno. Most burningman years are interesting years...
