My ticket solution...build a tunnel!!!
Seems simple enough to me.
It's just a bunch of dust after all, how hard could it be?

ask Kvon and the Germans who worked on the "Power to the Playa" project a few years ago. I think they did something like that.

That's a little loud. We'd be better off building a discrete tunnel. Unless we want to draw Perimeter attention someplace else...

Picks and shovels, bitches. Let's kick off "Burners Without Shoulders" and start a chain gang road crew to widen the hundred or so miles of 447 that are needed to bust that population cap wide open…. Just sayin'
Re: My ticket solution...build a tunnel!!!
PROBLEM SOLVED:
We understand the conditions and the transport needs of your industry, even in soft soil and environmentally sensitive areas. Composite mat systems have multiple applications, providing you with a solid solution for roads, boardwalks, turnarounds, and staging areas whenever and wherever you need them.
A strong, efficient and reliable system, the product offers a safe, cost effective solution for year-round, all-weather performance. The 8' x 14' mats are made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) for a strong, durable, consistent surface that can be used for virtually any industry requiring access in harsh environments.

It's a good thing that tractor has a plow on the front.
It will come in mighty handy for getting worthless hippies out of the way that are too damn lazy to grab a shovel!

couple days of road crew work in exchange for a ticket. DPW grows to 50,000 people.
Works a day and gets shut down by state public works union

Re: My ticket solution...build a tunnel!!!
You're still talking about loading how many tons at the "station" bringing it to the city, and to the right people in the right place in the city and unloading it. Have you ever spent two days looking for a friends camp at a provided address and when you do find it just stand there with your jaw dropped because you passed it a half dozen times?
Clusterfuck.
And doing this with the sort of speed you need...
Ironically, I love trains, and I'm always happy to boost Amtrak and other rail solutions. But if you want mass transit to work, you've got to have large crowds for months if not for the entire year. Otherwise it's a huge, resource dependent infrastructure that costs $100,000 to get one person to the playa.
(Okay, I don't actually know the order of magnitude involved. Ten thousand seems too small, a million seems ridiculous, but I don't really have a plan to figure out the numbers.)
