BM on Travel Channel
They're doing a segment on Burning Man on one of the Travel Channel shows here in a few minutes... just thought I'd let people know in case anybody wanted to know what they said about it. I personally am not too excited. It's just more media...

I was watching the Grammys. They held off for Deadmau5 till the end. Assholes. But Skrillex did win 2 Grammys.
What did they say and what show was it?

I was pretty unimpressed by Deadmau5's performance tonight, but I am jealous as hell of his helmet.tattoogoddess wrote:I was watching the Grammys. They held off for Deadmau5 till the end. Assholes. But Skrillex did win 2 Grammys.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Ah! It's the show called "Killer RV Upgrades". It's on right now. They're showing a guy who made a mutant vehicle that looks like the top of a submarine, and another who did The Walter Project (the world's largest VW bus). The footage may be recent unless it is poorly edited; the 2011 temple is in some of the shots.Brianna_Beauty413 wrote:They're doing a segment on Burning Man on one of the Travel Channel shows here in a few minutes... just thought I'd let people know in case anybody wanted to know what they said about it. Ooh, and a converted bus-like RV/vehicle from 1955 called The Desert Queen. It has a radiator inside, a propane-powered stove from ~1940, cool vintage light fixtures and a fan from 1885.

Re: BM on Travel Channel
I just searched for it and cannot find "Killer RV Upgrades" listed on the Travel Channel or anywhere else! There is a series which airs on Sundays called "Extreme RV", could that be it?
Nothing on VOD either,,,

Nah, it's an hour-long special called "Killer RV Upgrades". Here we are, found all of the segments.

"Living in Walter's World", "The Sail of a Submarine" and "The HMS Desert Queen" are the ones filmed partially at Burning Man.
I daresay Elliot might especially like the impressive land-to-sea action of the amazing "Dobberton Surface Orbitor" vehicle.
