Would closing the gates on Thursday make a positive difference for the weekend experience?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the organizers could shut the entry gates on Thursday at 6pm instead of Saturday? The group I was with all think it would make such a difference to the attitudes over the weekend if everyone was forced to commit to a longer stay on the playa.

Maybe all the people who left all their trash/moop over the weekend would think twice if they devoted more time to the whole experience. I don't see how you could feel you were party of the community by only spending two days at Black Rock City. Just a thought..........
