I'm dying to know, does any burlesque performance happen at BM?

Constantly! Without relent.

I remember that there was an organized burlesque performance last year right after the Burn at one of the larger camps, and one year I took a class . . .

The Rocky Horror Picture Show often takes place in Snowflake Village on the Esplanade on Friday night of the event.

There are stages everywhere and Black Rock City is full of dance-y types. It's gonna happen somewhere. Keep your eyes on this forum, and the "Stages" threads; later on, see the "Playa Events" section of the main site and on-playa, the What/When/Where guide.

Dark Sparkles Camp is a Burlesue oriented camp.

of course there is, why am I surprised, everything exists at Burning Man.

I wonder if these lovely Dark Sparkle ladies would be nice enough to befriend a British Birgin.

This post made me finally get around to registering!

I will definitely be looking that camp up when I get there! Burlesque is fabulous!

Hello!

YES! Camp Dark Sparkle is once again bringing burlesque to the playa. We will shows on Wednesday and Friday at 4 pm, and will also perform on the Death Star art car out on the playa Thursday night. We also have a pastie making workshop on Wednesday at 3 pm. If there's a dust storm during these times, we'll just push everything later in the day. Please come visit and say hi!

I had no idea there was a burlesque camp! I am a burlesque dancer, and was just looking for a stage to perform on. Will definitely need to stop by!
