Welcome to eplaya.
There are only 2 of us from LI active on the boards that I'm aware of and it's nice to see another long islander on here.
Good luck and I hope you make it to the burn.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Hi FeetOfClay! Welcome to eplaya! (though I saw you already got 'welcomed' earlier) I sense that you have the makings of being a good burner, in that, you are anxious to contribute!
I hope you are able to get out to the playa this year.

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Lol I was so waiting for that.
You know, after multiple years of watching JK hit the same macro button, it's really is starting to turn into an interest of what the fuck is really going on up there. I mean.. the first 100 inductees are one thing.. the other 1000? Now that's straight performance art.

Excited to see another Long Islander here! It's fun to see that there are people around me who will be in on this amazing year as well, people seem to be coming from all corners of the world.

LONG ISLAND BURNERS:
I am trying to organize a small, minimalist, informal camp that will be way off esplanade... Each person by a show of hands - brings an essential camping item... I plan on bringing an outdoor shower setup. but there are several things camps need to keep things as comfortable as the desert allows. People will have to supply their own food, water, tent, sleeping bags and clothing but the items we can all share would include:
1) Shade structure
2) Cooking pan, utensils and fire/heat to cook over
3) Outdoor shower
4) An old carpet to throw down and socialize on
If interested please let me know your situation, thanks!

Good idea and good luck with it.
As far as I know there are only a few long islanders on eplaya, so response may not be as big as you might hope.
