I hate Bike with no lights To close to temple

Post by Guest » Thu Sep 09, 2004 7:19 pm

First of all Id like to say bikes ruined my burn sunday night, I tripped on one, believe it or not I was totally sober, which everyone thought I was really trippin. Anyways I got a mild concussion, got put in an ambulence, which I really fucking hate, I felt like a rat in a cage right back in society, the place I didn't have to be for another couple days.

I d like to think the sweet girl from cali for helping out in the middle of the burn it means so much to me to see so many still care, even though the vibe this year was a little tainted.

If you have a bike Please take safety precautions, I was very fortunate not to have been seriously injured. Thanx natas

Very sorry to hear what happened to you. I had a moment on the playa when I got surprised by an unlit person on a bike whom I nearly ran into Embarassingly, the most angry of tones came out of my mouth as I yelled, "DARKWAD!" And then I felt really icky that I had been so venomous and I have since decided that one of my gifts to the playa for next year will be to bring 100 extra glow sticks and to give one to every dark person and bike that i come across. I hope that will be a good amends for my one moment of negativity on the playa, and a way to turn a problem into a solution.

Yes mars, that's a great idea! If everyone who complained about unlit bikes and people brought a few extras, we'd have enough for everyone.

I brought a few glowsticks but not nearly enough- I even bought more in Reno- I had no idea how much I'd need. I survived on ground scores (one of my new favourite pastimes), my camp mate, and other people who offered my lighted things. Unlit people, not just bikes, are also dangerous!
