as we were stumbling across the playa, deep into the night, i mentioned how hungry i was and *POOF* this same stand appeared in front of us! the lights and red lanterns and warm goodness of the tepanyaki i will never forget. i looked for his stand the next day and nary a trace. the cool factor on this one went off the charts!

The couple who commiserated with me on the sad lack of sushi bars at Burning Man and shared their sake bottle with me out in front of the Temple one night.
The beautiful young man who stopped to chat and gave us a bewitching one-man concert on his Brazilian instrument out in front of the porta-potties one morning...who counseled us to "dance with life, not fight with life".
The wandering Bran Muffin.

yes, I neglected to mention that I had only just thought - "hmmm I'm feeling a little peckish" and was actually changing my trajectory to aim at 6:30 when "poof" . So if I hadn't had that thought .... who knows, something else wonderful may have happened but I would have missed out on the best damn tepanyaki ever...

sure you wanna know?...
the best cure for playa fingers is to pee on them.
there were two doctors that gave me this advice. i was skeptical at first, but they got so bad and it was such a liability i thought, "it won't hurt to try it..."
it worked like a charm for me, and the pee was nice and warm on those two cold nights. i'd pee on my fingers , lather them up with johnsosn's baby lotion and then shove them into gloves. after spending a week of misery with my daily hand soakings in vinegar - i decided to try the doctors recomendation. they got better almost immediately. miracle pee.

Sushi, Tony the Tiger and Caesar!
Who would have EVEr thought that GOOD sushi FRESH on the playa in the middle of the week? You did and I so love you for it!!!
And you brought some very cute, cool and fun people!
And Tony for making the skirt steaks wrapped in bacon on Friday night! You rocked so much! And we know there is just a little purring kitten inside of you! Meow! Thnx for the hugs!
Canned food and cheese sandwiches really do get old after 6 days!
Caesar (u no who u r!) thanks for driving me to and holding me at the temple, making a rad art car and staying so cool about it even in times of distress and assholes, thanks for telling me in 2002 that I really needed to be out at BRC, and most of all thanks for being my emotional tampon! Life is hard but not so much when you have friends like you!
Bless you.

It's is good for your feet too. Peeing on your feet not only helps playa foot but helps prevent/ease athlete's foot. Go figure.peggyo wrote: i decided to try the doctors recomendation. they got better almost immediately. miracle pee.
Pabst Blue Ribbon - The beer that made Gerlach famous.
Many thanks to my favorite Canookieans @ the Pussy Dome (C-4)-- Bartending my first night there really helped get "in the zone". Thanks for the company-- and for being there when I needed a place to fall back to for comfort and emotional support after the Burn!
Thanks to the Gonzo Camp Couple too! When our 5th wheel blew out before the burn I figured we were in for a rough experience... thanks for taking us in and watching out for us!
Finally, thanks to the Chamber of Commerce guy from Gerlach (playa name had something to do with electricity.... zap? sparky?) Listening to you spin a yarn on the Art Car about never telling a woman she can't cook chicken was strangely the most memorable part of this burn for me!

everyone at 9:30 and Saturn (such a nice caring & sharing community)
Hell Bar & the guys from Ireland (you guys know how to enjoy the moment) i still have the nail.
The Mutaytor (the last day is forever memorable. i waited all week to hear good music. and to meet you was a dream) also camp music that made the day float by seamlessly.
The art installations. The tree(so what ;) the temple's snowy ash. the deeper space projects(nice audio). the led arrays(nice work)
and many others.
The person who borrowed my bike( i viewed my trip from a different perspective, less to take home)
the girl with the hoop at noon. you moved me. no need for pictures:)
the girl with jack and coke in a 2liter. I will always remember you for every emotion you made me feel..
everyone thoughtfull person who understood my mind & actions. i love u for loving me.
the jedi's and sith's out in that world. much respect for holding true your senses.
the man with boundaries who drew lines in sand. i found we were near the same person. student and teacher. i agree with choices that we both make for it's future. it's about time.
and for the fire _______ being ok with me following my own path in life.
i could go on and on. thank you so much for opening a new world of thoughts and desires. and changing me into a better person that is much easier to work on everyday now that i know there are people in every world that are accepting of ones character. you are forever in my mind and will always be my friend :)

to the guys who had Karaoke on some sort of wagon out in the middle of nowhere, with messed up distortion on 70's rock tunes... really made my night that night
to chai guy- rad chai!
to the nice person who put a dust mask in the chest of pleasures- it was the one thing i forgot to pack.
to the guy who gave me a goddess tune-up several times during the week.
to those who let me use their hula hoops (it may have been me at noon that day- big goddess tattoo on my back) I was so heartbroken to no have room to take it on the bus- thankyouthankyou!
to everyone i chatted with while working at the cafe!

Actually I'd also like to mention my fourteen wonderful campmates. Eclectic personalities all, that meshed seamlessly.
Thanks to Emily of "white noise" for including us, and for letting us watch you spin poi. I say again- "you rock!"
- and to my friend Sean for planting the seed in the first place.
