in the event someone is awarded a ticket option through STEP, is it possible to convey a personal message of thanks to the person who donated it?
I think that'd be pretty cool, for both parties involved, to have that option.
possible to thank STEP contributor personally?

No, the system is completely anonymous.

i have an idea of how to pass on the love, despite the system being anonymous:
if u get a ticket through STEP, use all your networking tools (FB, twitter, ePLaya, etc) to post your GRATITUDE at being given a STEP ticket.
share with all your friends your feelings of respect and appreciation for the burners who honor the principles enough to donate to STEP:
your positivity might incite more burners to offer up their tix thru STEP.
lastly, make/prepare some extra special gifts for people on the playa, in honor of the gift you've received by being able to attend this year. maybe write little messages to your anonymous donor and place on structures at BRC? (no moop, tho!) even tho that person may not be there, the effort is energetic, none the less.
don't worry, the universe will thank the person!

Yes absolutely, posting public thanks and gratitude would serve as a thank you to anyone who's sold a ticket through the program, and possibly encourage someone with unneeded tickets to do the same.

I love this idea, because everyone who contributes to STEP will feel good from it. Not just the one person who enabled you to get your ticket, but every last one of them.FeetOfClay wrote:i have an idea of how to pass on the love, despite the system being anonymous:

We think it's a great idea, if the logistical concerns are not too overwhelming

this a great idea. my mom had her liver replaced and finally found the family of the person who donated it. it was a touching scene - life from certain death! there's nothing better than this except being able to thank the person who re-sold you their BM ticket. it's like the miracle of life.

Perspective, please.
It's a ticket to a desert camping trip not a donated liver.

Irony. You're soaking in it.
