iRobot has Roomba, Scooba, and was developing Lawnba; how about iPlayabot: it vacumes up moop and discharges dust. Leveling off and cleaning at once...make it solar powered, so it could work allday.

We need a machine where you throw your dirty laundry in at one end, and it's folded and put in drawers on the other end. We also need a machine with a conveyer belt where dirty dishes go in at one end, and clean plates with cooked food come out the other end.

I have this fear that when I am eighty they will come up with a longevity/immortality pill and I will be spending the next thousand years hang out with a bunch of twenty years olds.

Put in a serious note, I would like to see practical small scale helium three fusion energy technology developed. It would be a real game changer for civilization and would require that we become a space traveling species. I don't think anything will come out of the Tokamak. I've been following the amateru fusor developers. Also the IEC research from University Wisconson, and the Polywell project by the late Dr. Bussard. Then there is Focus Fusion, though I hope we get the helium three stuff going instead of Boron proton fusion because of the space implications. Some links to get to these topics:

We need to invent a way for the railroads to actually have a run that stops on the playa each day to drop off Burners! Man that would help Exodus and so many other things. Of course, the railroads don't think that way, that is why we have to invent a way to change their minds.

Could even use the Gerlach station as a stop and have a few extra trucks/buses to transport people. Sure would help with traffic.....

Yep, saw them in Paris on the street - you close the door and the whole thing is washed down, walls and all. I always thought it would be grand if someone was left inside during the cleaning cycle......

They also have a cheap, fairly limited version of this for home shower enclosures. Press the button and close the door, it sprays tilex or something like it all over.

Another thing that is needed is a thermostat controlled hot/cold shower valve. For example, when 88 degrees shows on the LED readout, the water that comes out of the shower head is 88 degrees.

Something close to this exists. It is primarily intended as an anti-scalding device. It cannot raise the temperature, but it lowers the temperature to a preset point by mixing in cold water. Mine is a Symmons Thermixer Tempering Valve. The maximum output temperature is adjustable from 85F to 160F, but there is no indicator of where it is set. The knob requires deliberate action to turn, so it's a set-it-once-and-forget-it kind'a thing.

I have something a bit different. I don't know the name of it, but a water temperature undulator would be an accurate description of it. I just set the water to a temperature that seems comfortable, and it sporadically lowers or raises the temperature of the water to where I need to step away from the water stream coming out of the shower head.

Yea, we tried it (didn't work very well).

I hire a house-keeper (sometimes hippie-type) friend and we clean the joint together, usually.

A really big, effective, night time outdoor heater. Oh yea, we have one already ~]'[~
