Is your friends name Nike?

He kept it hid And so did she.
They searched for blue Their whole life through,
Then passed right by- And never knew.”

Will your banner stay secured in a 70 mph wind? How are you securing your tent, btw?

I think 3 pvc pipes would work at each end.

That is the same size as our camp's sign. We tie it to three steel fence posts and it does fine.

Sailboard masts are good for this, you can sometimes find them used at shops that service them, on the net, etc. Could extend them with steel fence tubing. Mount on a t-stake fence post, guy it in three directions, blablabla.

If the primary reason to do this is so that your friend can find you I would advise several more methods of communication. Black Rock City is huge!!!!... Posting your exact location in the Database at Playa info using pre agreed upon name or nickname. Posting a small message on the bulletin board. Narrowing down the area where you will camp in BRC prior to your arrival and sticking too that choice. Or perhaps your reason is totally different.

Well, good thing his name isn't Dave.
