Spring garlic - never heard of it. Is it small fresh garlic?

TPBM loves mushrooms in all their tasty glory.

tpbm is a Farmers Market fanatic

(spring garlic is immature garlic before the cloves form- looks like leek with a larger bulb at the end, tastes like mild garlic)

You know, I should be. There's a lovely (albeit very small) farmer's market about a 15-minute walk from my home, every Tuesday from May through October. Every year I decide I'm going to be a regular there yet only manage a few visits, mostly for the wild blueberries in the fall (OMG! SO GOOD!). I guess it doesn't help that I have a great fruit/veg shop next door to my building, a grocery store next door to that, a fruit truck that sets up in a park a block away, and another grocery store, a butcher, and a bakery within a 5-minute walk of my home. (Wow -- listing it all like that reminds me how rich we are in this low-rent, ostensibly "sketchy" neighbourhood...).

TPBM is also rich in ways that don't involve big money.

I have a very large collection of "wacky crap", if that's what you mean.
TPBM is so bored with the four standard colors, whether those are blue, red, yellow and green; or black, blue, red and green.

Pretty much people don't seem to care what I wear.
TPBM took a while to find workplace wear that worked for her/him.

I haven't polished brass since I was a little kid and used to polish the brass thingamajigs at my parent's church. I liked it then, althought it always seemed potentially infinite. I wonder how many brain cells I killed with the Brasso fumes.

*looks around* who? me? I'm somewhat compulsively early, but I also lose track of time and am becoming a little flakier with age.
TPBM saw "flakier" and thought: "Mmmm, frosted flakes..."

Not really. A friend's birthday party on Saturday and a volunteer commitment on Sunday.
But Friday nights my partner and I always have a dinner date. I guess that's kind of romantic :)

Granny, square, maybe a bow :P
I did learn a bunch of knots for BM2000, but I'll have to relearn them all if I'm going again this year.

TPBM thinks it would be fun to wear a bow tie and a monocle next time s/he goes fancy.
