Burning Man Spain 2005?

After our disappointing trip to BRC this year (from London), we hear that there might be a burn in Spain next year. Fewer People, more art, less (or no) Frat boys....

Can anyone shed some much needed light?

They should just have a Burningman week where BM happens all over the world at the same time and Broadcasted at the same time to BM in the desert Via IPV6. (internet II High Def.)

I allready heard such rumours last year but I'm afraid they are just rumours for now.

I've gone through a lot of trouble to put together a system as I've described above and between the "Rumor" statement I've just read and the blow off from the org to at least take a look at what I've done I can only imagine that some Bozo will come along with the same exact idea and everyone will say "oooooo wow, wonderful. Yes let's go along with the Bozo because he is so hip." (get the idea?)

How about this, I put it out there already and did it by myself with my time and my money. If you want to have it happen and forget about rumor, it would be nice if we could help each other and make it happen.

ive heard rumours also, was at BM2003 but now living in spain so would definitely be up for a spanish burn.

I just wanted to throw in my ten cents worth and confirm that there will be a Spain Burn in 2005.

This news come straight from the mouth of Larry Harvey when he was at the Burning Man Film Festival in London in May 2004. He said that they've found the desert and have the planning permission to go ahead with the event. From what I remember I believe that it will take place approximately 1 month before the BRC burn (so some time in July 2005).

So there you go.

There WAS a burn, in Spain, last year. There have been a number of events happening in Europe for the last four years. We had a Decompression with around 300 people in London in December '04.
It was a big hit.
We have called the burn events Nowhere and Nowhere 2005 will be happening in July this year in Northern Spain. We aim to have a limit of 150 participants.
