One item???

I just ordered 431 items for BM today. Mostly resistors - sorry, I am not getting a bottle of wine for everyone.

30 Orange LEDs to flicker and make my helmet look like a pile of glowing embers (hopefully - or at least something fire-like). Still need to get the antlers.

Most importantly, I got an Arduino Mega, so I can start playing with computer controlled lights.

I checked my STEP link, lol!

Having the STEP registration on the final day of my vacation was a bummer. Not only did I go surfing instead of hover over my phone, I inadvertently deleted the link email and had to have it resent.

I hooked up with a camp for Lightning in a Bottle (right here in my backyard and never heard of it), and I will continue to grow my network for random ticket opportunities. I've had (and have made) miracles happen, so maybe some positive vibes are still reverberating out there! Haha

Excited for people getting there tickets, though ... and wishing good luck to those who are still on the hunt!

Yesterday I ordered too much stuff off the web. Still need to think about a cot. and some sort of mattress--I'm not going to the air mattress thing again.
So, I will have an air mattress and pump to give away, but I need to find the cords for the pump. (I should also have a battery operated one, but those are bitter little jokes.)

Today I made sure that my friends kept their spirits up and retained positive thoughts about getting tickets. We are all still excited, planning, and hopeful. :D

I completed online disabled vehicle permit application and sent in attachments to the Hotties. Now I wait for ticket notification, and for invitation to bring or NOT bring golfcart.

So today was a good day, got paid more then I thought so went out and got some things for bm-

26 inch tube for my bike garentee no flat from bell ( No idea how to do it, hope someone out there does if i need to) Bike store wanted $8 i got it for $3 at the discount store. SCORE!
Dry teflon lube (did i get the right stuff? I know dry is what i was told to get)
Ball care kit ( hand pump with 3 pin sizes and one for a bike and a gauge) thinking maybe i could use it on the bed somehow

AND the best for last!!

Brand new camlebak! I had the bak its self from a military store for $3 but with no bladder. But I went to this place called stuff for less that just opened. They had really nice ones for.... $29!! So yep I got one! Im good to go now and it has quite a bit of storage and these nice cushiony things on the shoulders and back. Retail at sears.. $74.

Today I decided the time for research has ended & now is the time for action! I bought 50 raw LEDs, resistors, and asked hubby's permission to raid his workbench for wire & a soldering iron. Lookout world, I'll be makin' my own blinky lights! LED pants, belts, bracelets...

Pulled out all the tents (16) put them all up and then put them all away, marked each one for size and features, and they are all stowed away organized and neat. Went to Costco and found a great deal on a 156qt cooler. Bought a glow in the dark hoola hoop. Bike lights ordered from Ebay arrived and are excellent.

16 tents. WTF!

I have 4 tents and my friends call my tent cupboard the tent library.

Why, How, Why do you have so many tents? Are you planning on seting up a refuge camp on the Syrian Jordanian Border?

ICG does a LOT of festivals Mel. She helps folks get to various festivals from far away lands. Next stop Burnin' Man ;)

Today I worked on the mini funkyfied disabled person's (almost an mv) vehicle. Aired up the tires, added sta-bil to the gas (again), checked the battery charger&battery, measured him for the BRC DMV paperwork, jotted down some parts he'll be needing. [NTS, must beef up his dust snorkel]
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

16 tents is a ridiculous amount and we use a spare bedroom for our camping/festival gear. My family thinks I am wacky and I am sure they are mostly right:-) They do not take up nearly the room that the accompanying air mattresses take up, those damn things are heavy and I and my husband use cots. We got nearly all the tents from Craigslist for pretty good prices just for friends flying in from somewhere or another. Not much investment in cash but lots in storage:-)

Yesterday we built a 4 foot Kaliedescope for Burning Man and will be making as many as I can afford for the playa. $45 for the mirrored plexiglas but got the big cardboard tubes for free from Craigslist from a company in Portland that makes banners. They will have many hundreds before the burn and we are trying to figure out what all we can build with them. We drilled holes to an exact size for colored opaque beads and light it from the inside for some cool lights but think we could build quite a few things with these.

Will be watching with interest to see how it all turns out:-)

Interesting! I've never heard of anyone using dog stakes before. How long are they?

I think that depends on whether they were cut from a great dane or a toy poodle.

i got a weird little black horse yesterday at thrift store. It is about 2 feet tall covered in black fleece with a white stripe down his pleather covered nose. His legs move and feet move. I think I may bling it out so that I can have my very own sparkle pony mascot for my camp. My dogs were not to sure about it but are not as intrigued as they were last night. I hope when I go home for lunch it has not been attacked...

They are 18 inches. Hold up to 50 pounds it says. They could kill a vampire if I needed to. Super sharp at the end!

Sounds cool. It's hard to imagine the tops. Are they pre-cushioned or wrapped at the top (as a dog's product might conceivably be)? If not, you'll want something that fits over or wraps around, so no one gets cut/scraped . . .

Received my box of goodies from Dharma Trading. 100 scarves does not look like much. Disappointing, but that's all i can comfortably afford, so. That's it. Also, found a black fake fur vest for next to nothing on super clearance.

The kaleidoscopes sound fabulous! Funny, a bought a small one today (not on sale, full retail price cause it made my heart happy).

Can you find cotton sheets at thrift stores and cut and hem them to become scarves? Even pastel colors and patterns might work.

Fishy, I've been looking at that too. Hitting every clearance rack I see also for hats and things.
