best burn ever

which may not be saying much as it was only my third... but by far the best... my first year doing art, which was, by the way, a rolling party barge (the HELLBAR with the four horses of the apocaplypse leading our way) and a damned spectacular party at that... WHATEVER to those of you who don't think being able to throw a non-stop raging beautiful celebration is an ART - you give it a try sometime and let me know how many people tell you that you were their greatest burningman experience ever, or even one of the best times of their LIFE!!! all i can say is my friends and i brought everything we had to this burningman (we were a non-stop job site for four days - i learned how to use a jigsaw in a dust storm - after playing all night long) and we are continuing to be well repaid for our efforts... AND i met tons of newbies, which was at first annoying me because they were so obviuos and everywhere, but they turned me around because almost everyone cried and said they couldn't wait until next year to to ART and give back... THIS IS HOW WE CHANGE THE WORLD... yes i am bummed i wasn't there 18 years ago, or even 5 years ago.... but i have been touched and now i am touching.... YAY HELLBAR!!! enough with the negativity, isn't the whole point that we are the only ones who can make a change?

i meant to also say that because we spent four solid days constructing our rolling homage to all that is debauched and joyous in life, our camp looked like shit - so another WHATEVER to the folks who say that burningman sucked this year because everyone didn't have a pimped out theme camp... and thanks to the lovely rv ladies who rolled in one day and parked in front of our debris pile... they did their part... i was just happy that we had shade this year!!! HELLBAR!!!

Hells yeah! BEST BURN EVER! Of course, burning man will be better next year....
But everybody in my whole burning house had the best year ever, everybody I met had the best burn ever, I was in recycle camp and it was a beautiful thing all around. I keep hearing people whine on line and Im like WTF? aparently there was some other burning man some other place that didnt go off as well some where CUZ MINE ROXORED!

tomorrow night we are having post burn potluck with old and new friends... new friends from across the street on jupiter who watched us work for four solid days and then came and partied on our barge and said we were the best thing ever and threw a disco ball motorcycle helmet my way to wear the night of the burn mirroring our four foot disco ball above the horses - FUCK YEAH!!! san fran rocking the house and the playa once again ... just wanted to say thanks for the positve post - the first one in 12 hours and have you seen how many posts the negative burn man has gotten - LET'S RAISE OUR SIGHTS PEOPLE and just let the negative SLIDE - IT'S THE POSITIVE THAT DESERVES THE PROPS!!!! so right back at you A.B. and give a shout any time you are in the bay, hey...
