fancy meeting you here!
since camping next to you this year, we've been trying to turn our house into a mini hookah dome so we don't have to suffer for the rest of the year; we've got the hookah, the rugs, the drums, and the hoops -- now all we need is your playlists;
see you!

Right on - the Hookan love spills into the living room... :)
As far as re-creating the Hookahdome vibe, these guys have got to take the cake though:
They made their own hookahdome, complete with geodesic structure, arabic entranceway, hookahs, belly dancing, the nine yards. And threw a huge party.
http://clubs.oxy.edu/pb/demo/eventphoto ... index.html
It's not *quite* the same, but considering they made it in the time since BM04 - very impressive!
Anyway, Hookahdome music? You must consult our wonderful sound magicians. There is another thread where quasipseudo has laid out some of his sets in detail. Checkit out...
I'm so glad ya'all liked the pad. We may throw a fund-raising party in the city early next year which will be phenomenal, so please come!
Peace,
Soren
PS. Folks really should use email ([email protected]) to reach me - I'm rarely here in eplaya.

Rian: Yes I'd love some! What form would it take, mp3? cd?
That reminds me - is anyone here interested in a DVD copy of this really cool BM04 documentary which features Hookahdome & the Magic Carpet?

Mike, I dig the concept of sharing the musical content and not keeping it to ourselves. I think people prefer a chef who isn't secretive with his recipes - they'll still be back to see what else you're cookin', or just to hang out with the generous chef! It's all about spreading the love.

they have it all:QuasiPseudo wrote:Ive never been to Aquarius - is it records only? Do they have used CDs?

they're nowhere near as big ast amoeba or rasputin, but they have deep, deep quality. they were a pillar of the sf punk scene -- an institution -- in the 70s, but they didn't get stuck there -- they have always been the source for the most interesting music in the world.
check out their history:

everyone who works there is a genius.
