Emergency polka camp! If only that were real... I think it might need to be part of the disaster contingency plan you were talking about!

Re: The person below me
It depends. Sometimes planning is more fun than doing. Sometimes planning is a way to avoid doing. In those cases, yes, I spend a lot of time planning. However, I often throw those plans to the wind once the time comes for action. And any planning that's not fun, fuggedaboudit.

Nope. I've done 3 loads of laundry, taken out 2 loads of recycling, and still have to do dishes, take out garbage, and tidy up all the crap that's lying around -- in the next 2 hours, because I've got plans to go out after that.

No not shocked at all
TPBM used to live with someone who was quite anal about housework and therefor has rebelled against the principle of keeping a squeaky clean house because there is always something more fun to do.

Re: The person below me
Yes! I got my spring gardening done yesterday, and I did a bunch of housework today in anticipation of going out to a movie tonight. Then the movie was sold out
Of course, since the list is, in fact, neverending, there are plenty of chores I could be doing in lieu of the movie. But I think I'd prefer to sit here and sulk.
TPBM has tied him/herself in knots trying to cheer up a loved one who was sulking, only to eventually figure out that person would rather keep sulking.
