I don't think I've ever stopped in Rawlins, although I think I did pass through Wyoming on a road trip many moons ago.

TPBM loves the look of old-fashioned diners.

Oh, I love a good espresso, or even a mediocre latte. And espresso martinis are fantastic. I also love a nice, brewed, medium-roast coffee.

TPBM has read, and enjoyed, The Wind in the Willows as a grownup.

Oh dear god, no. I love children's fantasy, but that one is so damn English, with everything that implies about the class system... I didn't read it as a child, but I read some of it as an adult, I couldn't even figure it out what it was about except the class system.
the person below me can list 5 children's fantasy books read and enjoyed as an adult...

You're right, I did not. Some other night, perhaps.

I do, but I also feel bewildered. It seemed like there was a pattern there, but it was eluding me. Hmmm... Google tells me it's a finger-battle iPhone app. I have no idea what that means, but I guess there's some interactivity I was missing. I liked the pretty moving lights...

ETA: D'oh! Too slow! I am procrastinating. I only got through most of my never-ending to-do list today. I'm done sulking, but not yet ready to tackle the dishes.

Nope. I'm not very dexterous. My extent of "decorating" anything like that would be to apply a huge dollop of whipped cream. More likely, I'd just serve cupcakes with whipped cream and berries on the side, and let guests dollop to their hearts' content.

TPBM is planning a day trip.

I work at home & don't get up until 11 or so, so I have a decent sized breakfast & my "lunch" is usually around 5. Dinner's at 10ish.

TPBM hates me for being able to sleep until 11am every day.

It's true. I used to get up at 10:00am, work 11:00am-7:00pm and go to bed @ 2:00am . . . those were happy days. I'm not lazy, but my body clock has always been off-set.

The person below me wants a bouquet of flowers & will tell us what kind and what color.

I would tell you guys that I want sunflowers - bright, cheery yellow with the darkest brown disc florets. I will make this easy though. I don't even want a bouquet, just a single flower with a long stem.

TPBM would rather go to a sunflower field

A dog with gumption. Sounds like a Shambala thing to me. Begging your pardon, Sham.

tpbm has been counting how many posts I've made without making that mistake. (And wonders why it's me that makes it over and over.)

i don't like the word mistake.

i prefer "Anomaly".
