I do, but they're for the bird... which is better than for the birds!

TBPM has a lot on their plate today and doesn't know where to start first.

Every spring. It is the hell of living in the Willamette Valley.

TPBM may have overdone it last weekend.

Kind of. Generally, I'm not for the super-contemporary (I find that a bit "cold") but the mid-century Scandinavian teak stuff that everyone's supposed to like nowadays. I drank that Kool-aid too.

I love those oblong-oval mirrors, though.

TPBM is questioning the conventional wisdom on things.

conventional wisdom is an oxymoron.

TPBM received upsetting news today.

Nope. I maybe have lost my objectivity on that, but nothing new today.

Nope.
Okay, there is some anecdotal evidence that people can meet and "know" that they are right for each other and be mature enough and skilled enough to get married and stay married, and in love, for 50 years or more. But most of us take a little longer.
TPBM thinks that, biologically speaking, people are promiscuous, not monogamous.

Yeah, probably. I think the most apt description of human behaviour, in the general, is "serial monogamishness." But behaviour is not the whole of biology. Nor is sex the only measure of monogamy or promiscuity. Humans are complicated.

TPBM thinks human sexuality is actually pretty uncomplicated, in the grand scheme of things.

Well, the biology perhaps.

Actually, I think religion is a symptom of what's wrong with us, not the cause. I think the whole business of how we interact got fucked up as soon as jealousy, envy, and power came into the picture... which probably means before humans even existed.

TPBM is going to a BM-related event this weekend.

Yep. Oregon Fire Conclave rehearsal on Sunday. House party Saturday night (thrown by Burners. Not official, but still fun).
