These events are fairly frequent in the city - orgs usually invite individuals from different agencies and Congressional staff to hear presentations, network, and have a few appetizers.

FishBowl DC wouldn't be covering this if it was just a DIY happy hour organized by some random Burners.

The best part is the hundreds of moronic comments. A real troll-fest. Actually, the local burner listserv invited us to a drum circle/fire spinning/picnic/hooping with the Hat and the Maid on Sunday afternoon at Malcolm X (Meridian Hill) Park. Am I giving away a secret? Ehhhhhhh . . .

Larry Harvey and Maid Marian will be in town (along with some other Burning Man staff) at the end of the month and we'd like to have a picnic in the park to welcome them while they're here in DC.

When: Sunday, April 29th, April 2pm-ish until whenever
