This article is barely worth lining a cat box with. Complete and utter garbage.
..and where do you see that BMOrg has anything to do with this?

These events are fairly frequent in the city - orgs usually invite individuals from different agencies and Congressional staff to hear presentations, network, and have a few appetizers.junglesmacks wrote:This article is barely worth lining a cat box with. Complete and utter garbage.

FishBowl DC wouldn't be covering this if it was just a DIY happy hour organized by some random Burners.

Reminds me of that christwire site that posts whatever inflammatory BS to drive clicks and adviews (or just plain install adware). People come to see the outrageous crap that was said, or to post a comment expressing shock, outrage, or to try and set the obviously misguided author right about what the event is and isn't.
Re: BMORG is lobbying Congress in DC next week?
True - to some extent. They definitely utilize the Fox News strategy on there.trilobyte wrote:Reminds me of that christwire site that posts whatever inflammatory BS to drive clicks and adviews (or just plain install adware). However, the website is pretty well known in DC circles and followed with some frequency here.

Re: BMORG is lobbying Congress in DC next week?
I honestly thought that this part might not be such a bad idea
It think it would be pretty good for the country as a whole if the federal government learned a few lessons from Burning Man.Now they’re bringing that free “spirit” to Washington, specifically to Tortilla Coast on Capitol Hill on April 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., to introduce Congressional leaders and their staffs to the Burning Man community.
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole

The "Sacred Geometry" of the Masonic layout of streets in Washington, D.C., will most likely lead one to discover that Fort Marcy Park lies along the same line as that made by the National Mall, which lies between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, and that extending that line almost all the way across the United States would pass directly through the Mormon Tabernacle Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Re: BMORG is lobbying Congress in DC next week?
The best part is the hundreds of moronic comments. A real troll-fest. Actually, the local burner listserv invited us to a drum circle/fire spinning/picnic/hooping with the Hat and the Maid on Sunday afternoon at Malcolm X (Meridian Hill) Park. Am I giving away a secret? Ehhhhhhh . . .
Larry Harvey and Maid Marian will be in town (along with some other Burning Man staff) at the end of the month and we'd like to have a picnic in the park to welcome them while they're here in DC.
Where: Malcom X (Meridian Hill) Park, 15th and Euclid St NW, 5 Blocks from: Columbia Heights Metro (Green/Yellow line)
When: Sunday, April 29th, April 2pm-ish until whenever
What: Bring your hoops, LED Poi, Yoga Mats, Drums and dancing shoes. The park is alive with African drumming and dancing, Acroyoga, & Yoga and more, lets join in the festivities!
Also, bring blankets, picnic food, beverages to share and anything else to make the picnic great.

Or those moronic Occupy websites being spammed on here last year. To be fair, Christwire is openly a satire site. There's no secret about it. It's no different than the Colbert Report really.trilobyte wrote:Reminds me of that christwire site that posts whatever inflammatory BS to drive clicks and adviews (or just plain install adware). Hmmm... this almost needs to be merged with the "best rumours" thread, n'est-ce pas?
