Damn straight! From the womb to the tomb!

TPBM thinks its funny that CU Boulder has closed the campus to students in an effort to stop the 4-20 smoke out, but simultaneously has mad 4-20 an actual holiday by canceling school.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/20/us/university-colorado-marijuana-rally/index.html wrote:This year the university is attempting to put an end to the annual ritual. They will shut down the campus to everyone except faculty, staff and students. Violators could face trespassing charges.
To discourage students from lighting up, the university has decided to fertilize the grassy area of Norlin quad on Friday.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My professors deal with it by scheduling tests on 4/20. You really don't want to be baked for most of my professors' tests, unless you're a professional. Which I am.

TPBM doesn't need an excuse.

I am waiting for my pardner to come home (I love that pardner passes the spell-check) from his work, which is definitely interfering with celebration ATM, and we will paint the town green.

True story:Three years ago (I think), on this date, I noticed a dude on my bus whose bag smelled... greenish. So, as he was getting up to leave, I waved at him and wished him a happy 4/20. He sat down beside me and opened his bag to reveal a GIANT baggie of weed -- like, at least a pound (I didn't even know they made ziplocs that big). He reached in and pulled out a large, sticky bud and gifted it to me. He got off at the next stop. It was a surreal and amazing moment. This is not the kind of thing that ever happens to me. I'm the squarest-looking middle-aged lady you ever did see.

TPBM has a special 4/20 ritual, beyond just the smoking.

Hopefully! Friday night is date night, so we always go out somewhere nice for supper. Not, like, super-fancy, but interesting and a bit special.

TPBM likes dates -- not outings, but the sweet dried fruit that people put into squares and cakes.

Not today. I ate mangoes, cashews, yogurt, and rice. Kind of whatever I could find in the house :P

ETA: Not all at once :)

TPBM has half a dozen random herbal teas in the house, but only ever drinks one of them.

TPBM has so many nice burner necklaces that they never all get worn. (But I have at least one that s/he doesn't!)

I have no burner necklaces at all. I'm not even sure what a burner necklace is. :(

TPBM has marbles and knows how to use 'em.

nah... i kind of enjoy it. there's always enough distraction around to keep me from finding something important/meaningful/challenging to do. i'm sure it's terrible for my brain, though.

TPBM enjoys playing with projectiles.

Well, I'm well-rested and not hungover. I got high, had a nice dinner and half a bottle of wine, then fell asleep by midnight (SO. OLD). I am, however, feeling like it's the morning after the gym, which it is (again: SO. OLD).

TPBM actually does have a door hinge that needs oiling.

Yeah, 2005 and further back to the last third of 2001... It's a little one-sided.

Now that I've listened to one of his songs and part of an interview, yeah. He does. He's also very charming in the interview. I'm using the present tense 'cos it's a recent interview -- from January, 2012.

TPBM loves the whooshing sound that deadlines make as they fly by.

Ugh... along with all the other things I'm afraid of: Fire, heights, projectiles, speed, wheeled conveyances of all sorts... and electricity. That about covers it. Oh, and dried fruit, but that's more of a strong dislike than a phobia.

TPBM gets goosebumps when s/he ponders the enormity of space.
