Alright Fuck-O's, I've been to 4 burns and been part of a solid camp the whole time. At present, we have no resources with which to make big things to dance on (or in or around), or look at, or ride on. But it does so happen that the university I attend doesn't start classes for the fall until 2 weeks after the burn ends, giving me about a week or a little more that I can donate to playa clean-up. I'd really like to help out, but I don't know where to turn.
How does one volunteer for clean-up? Do I just show up at a volunteer station at the end of the burn, or is there a registration ahead of time? Is it all run through DPW, or is it split up beyond that?

Well, start by filling out the volunteer form for dpw, stating that you are available for that week or ten days after the burn. I suspect, but do not know, that the rather more stringent requirement that you have volunteered before you can get set up, do not apply. Although, I'm sure they'll get rid of you if you don't work hard.
At any rate, this is probably a question for a DPW volunteer coordinator, rather than a bunch of internet snarks.

Moving this over to Q&A, since that's a better fit.

It isn't hard to volunteer after the event.
